I think people know the level of Danny Garcia.
I have saw nobody claim that he is super elite. But for the most part in his career, he has been a World Class fighter 'And good Champion, when he was Champion'.
It just seems like everyone thinks, every fighter is overrated these days.
The only overrated fighters I think are Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez. Not in the sense that they are bad fighters 'Because they are top fighters'. But in the sense that people over exaggerate their abilities and make things up.
I have not really seen Danny Garcia get this treatment.
Overrated is a bit harsh. I saw an article the other day reading that Garcia would revisit the Spence fight at 154.
He is overrated

He’s had some good wins. Was an underdog as a last second replacement against Khan and sparked him out. Not many people thought he had a real shot against Lucas Matthysse and he got the win.
But after that he was too inactive and after he lost to Thurman he fell off.
I would say he’s a guy that got the most out of his talent and ability.
Not particularly interested in his fight Saturday.
Nice sigs.
Gift draw vs Torres so it's basically 2 147 coming up to 154 to fight to avoid the noise at 147. How about Danny vs over-the-hill Austin Trout. Probably won't work b/c Trout will completely outbox him. So why should I be excited about this? Is this fight to line up a Charlo mando because if it was at 147 it would be a Spence mando so why not Charlo? He puts both of them in a body bag. So why am I supposed to be excited? Maybe he should have stayed at 147. Crawford, Ortiz, or Ennis? Oh no, I have all 3 of them stopping him or darn near.
What with Benavidez? Not particularly. Danny was very good in his prime at Welter but always a step short of elite, he's now 34 years old and as a JMW will be stepping into the ring as the smaller, older guy against many opponents. He should beat Jose but he ain't gonna make any real mark on the divison going forward.

- - Nobody but his punk daddy ever excited about Dannyboy. Even his homecoming to Puerto Rico was a dud.
I remember that. They robbed that guy who lost
everyone saying danny too small for 154 but since when exactly is jose benavidez a big 154lber? he actually seems smaller than danny
They couldn't find a more perfect opponent
Feeling the same way as BoxFan83. It may be just a bit much for Danny, hopefully we will know in a few days! I think there is a chance that Danny might catch Benny with that no look left hook though. Benny isn’t the best when it comes to defense, he is just durable as f***!

I am very much looking forward to Garcia vs Benavidez. I've grown to really like Danny over the years and I really like the fighters in Jose Benavidez Sr. camp.
Danny should have the pedigree to win but will Benavidez size and pressure be an issue, or DSG's layoff?
Me either, those guys are simply too big. He really got pushed back by Spence and he will do even less because he is not a really big guy.
He might be able to fight guys coming up but those top guys at that weight will be too much for him. He will be a name on a resume.
Fair assessment
I don't think he can compete with the top dogs in the Jr middleweight division

Interesting fight that I will watch but not to excited because he has been so inactive and is already getting to the age that he will slow down even more.
