Triple G's fanboy's keep saying he was the most ducked fighter of all time in his prime. Can someone name me a list of fighters that ducked him?
Canelo. .....
GGG wasted his prime years fighting super welter Sergio era left overs
He cries he was ducked. Pirog fight was made and going to hand him his first L. Pirog broke his back and never fought again in that camp.
Everybody has their own interpretation of "ducking". Let's just say that fighters (or more specifically, their promoters and managers) thought twice before signing to face GGG. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sturm avoiding GGG led to the creation of the first WBA "Super" title. GGG never got to face Sturm, but things ultimately came around with Geale beating Sturm and then facing GGG. Quillin wanted an exorbitant purse to face GGG, but things worked themselves out with Jacobs KO'ing Quillin and then facing GGG. Lou Dibella made it clear that GGG would not be facing Maravilla Martinez, and once again...................Cotto beats Sergio, Cotto loses to Canelo, Canelo (eventually) faced GGG. As shaky as GGG's career started, everything worked out in his favor. He turned the small money he was getting paid at HBO as the unknown KO artist into consistent multi-million purses, and is about to face the cash-cow of boxing for the THIRD time. GGG is another example of how important it is to stay busy and be entertaining.
Funny to see what's considered a duck and what isn't, depending on who the fighter is. You got guys literally dropping belts and not accepting offers, but apparently verbal call outs are more important.
GGGeezer fans are bunch of idiots who thought he could beat legends like Monzon, Robinson and Hagler before Jacobs fight. Jacobs exposed him. Then, he got exposed three times again. He was fake king after Hopkins, Pirog and Wright's retirement. Only god knows how they would expose that Asian moron.
gee that is funny cause GGG ruined jacobs he was never the same after that fight and where is he now
Geale fought him as did Canelo twice and soon to be three times. Not to mention Canelo wasn't even a MW at this time the fanboys started these claims.
Its not always a duck, nobody knew who the hell GGG was at the time Sergio was around. He'd barely come on the scene as Sergio was on his way out. He fought Chavez Jr who was a world champion and a huge draw at the time why the fvck would he fight an unknown GGG for peanuts? He then rushed a home coming defense vs Murray and was practically done.
There have been plenty of fighters GGG has ducked over the years; Lara, Mora, Charlo, Andrade, Ward to name a few instead he was fighting a murderous row consisting of Dominic Wade, Willie Monroe, Adama and the likes. While his fans claimed the whole boxing world was scared of him and echoing stupidity Loeffler would spout. ''Anyone from 154-175'', yeah sure Tom lol anyone but someone half decent with a bit of slickness about them
Nobody really ducked him, I think Golovkin fought most of the top fighters in his era. And dominated.
It was just not a very good era. But I think the entire Middle-Weight divisions are even worst now in terms of ability etc.
Well, nel o had to have to have a hundred dip toes in water warm up fights before he was ready for ggg, which is cherry picking at very least. And F roch said he'd avoid ggg, and bjs said Ggg could beat him and eubanks on same night.
So it's not far fetched to imagine Ggg as someone to avoid if possible.
*crickets* :lol1::lol1::lol1:
No one cares any more, man. Dude's like 40 years old and the minority of really vocal fanboyism (and I was a big fan) died away half a decade ago. You having flashbacks to 2015 or something? :thinking:
I dont know why GGG gets so much heat he has always been a bad ass in the ring.
We give him heat because his fanboys claim that he's this legendary ATG fighter yet his resume is awfully thin.
