I just got done watching a new BBC documentary about the 'Tartan-Torna$$hole' : Josh Taylor - Portrait of a Fighter. I didn't know that the gifted decision that was, rightly, Jack Catterall's greatest win, ruined Josh Taylor's life.
As a result, Taylor has lost respect and credibility all over the world, not only in Ireland. The rude spiteful comments on social media and death threats for his cocky attitude by infuriated fans and the bounty on Daniel Kinahan's head by the United States Federal Government, has Josh suffering from night-terrors -- that some day the feds or the pissed-off fans might kick in his back-door. Speaking of that....
Nightmares of Jack Catterall putting his boot up his ass every night is even captured in this sad documentary. No celebration of Taylor's accomplishments going on in this film, a dark and gloomy portrayal is what we see. I think it's an accurate depiction of Taylor's sorry ass. But I'm a little disappointed, although the BBC does capture Taylor hanging-out with local hoodlums, they fail to include the drug transactions and or the time that Josh Taylor spent in prison for possession of cocaine.
Overall, I give this documentary a three star out of five rating. Enjoy.
