UK fans like boxing. Would they fill a stadium to see undisputed LHW fight featuring the guy who just beat Canelo, even though neither him or his opponent are British? Maybe put Buatsi or Yarde (or Buatsi vs Yarde? Unless that can fill a separate stadium by itself?) on the undercard?
no chance lol. People don't understand that fans are also linked to football fans. The same football fans just come along for the fun to see their local or someone they like the fight. UK fans are NOT going to fill a stadium, especially East Europeans.
Maybe the 02 or the MEN but co-maining big British fight.
Would need popular fighters. Joe Cordina will start to sell really well now, Lawrence Okolie, Josh Warrington.
Ah I've got it. Taylor vs Catterall co main in Manchester. It sells the arena.
Whether those two would be happy sharing the pot? I doubt it.
I think you can be foreign and build a career here but you can't just rock up unless you are Canelo. Other than that? Probably Wilder. Heavys will always be popular
It needs to happen in russia
This. Nothing will be more SOUL than watching two Russian light heavyweights fight for undisputed in some shitheap Soviet-era auditorium somewhere in central Russia.
That's not going to happen in the current climate. Maybe Germany? I would think like Pascal that Beterbiev could do something in Toronto if it was undisputed. Outside of BSing around, the fight should be the Co-main on AJ/Usyk.
Yeah didn't all the sanctioning bodies basically say they won't sanction any fights in Russia?

Gvozdyk vs Beterbiev did horribly.
Bivol just beat the P4P cash cow of boxing and Beterbiev is coming with a lot of momentum and just got another belt. This would be for all the titles and both guys are more recognizable.
Putting on that fight anywhere outside of Russia would be akin to McDonalds offering Filet Mignon. It just does not make sense.
The only exceptions would be a BIG site fee from somewhere in the Middle East, or Vegas.
UK would possibly make sense, but right now you don't have too many Russians, or any at all going to the UK.
It's a great fight, it would do ok, but nothing special. With English fans, the more casual ones anyway, never mind Fury and AJ, they'd much rather watch Chisora, Warrington, Whyte, people like that. They have big fanbases here, those two guys don't really have any outside of the hardcore boxing fans, such as the Great Nash. Nash out.

Yeah, I was there and the vast majority of the people in attendance were Ukrainian. There was small, vocal Russian crowd and hardly any native born Americans (and most of them were there to support Sonny Conto and other local fighters on the undercard).
Ironically enough, I didn't notice that the attendance was sparse. Probably because the Ukrainian and Russians in attendance were loud, the area I sat was crowded, the arena was very dark and I was very drunk.
I highly doubt an all Russian LHW unification between Bivol and Beterbiev would do well in the US.
It would sell but its more for consistent boxing fans who know who they are. Its a big deal, highly competitive fight for who is the best and unified champ at 175. but casuals dont really know who these guys are.
How many tickets would it sell in the UK? How many in Russia? How many in USA?
And then, adjust for ticket prices. Like, where will it do the biggest gate, and how much?
It would be a great event to go to I reckon, would literally just be the hardcores and maybe a few Russian-Britons if they’re even still here with the current political climate.
If it happens, me you and Citizen Koba will go and get on the piss!!
