He was C+. Only thing he had going for him was he came in shape.
Lost to Thurman, Spence, Crawford, Brook, and Ugas.
Even looked like shit vs Granados
Got dropped by Adrien fckin Broner.
Why do people even care about this dudes opinion?
He was also a boring fckin fighter. Grab and hit, headbut, grab grab. No KO power.
I remember he was so desperate for attention he made an account here and started posting.
WHen the going got tough vs Crawford his daddy saved him.
Everybody hits harder than Floyd at 147.
Mayweather had similar power to Malignaggi at 147.
Mayweather: 12 bouts, 3 KO’s
Malignaggi: 13 bouts, 2 KO’s
Floyd has okay power, but bad hands. I think he could have easily stopped Shane if he wanted.

It wasn't useless against Paulie. He walked through him. He also stopped Berto? I may be wrong/too lazy to look it up.
i meant, they both have similar style in terms of having great stamina and using it to their benefit.. if you look at how porter fights, it's the same energy as bradley.. high pace pressure throws a lot of punches, wild at times, not afraid to get into a brawl, etc.
I do agree with that.
Tim had much more technic. Porter started to use the jab and box a bit more when he could at the end of his career.

Both Thurman and Spence went through hell against Porter in competitive matches. The Ugas match coulda gone either way imo. Brook beat him clearly on the cards, which only adds to my frustration at the horrific decisions his management made with him. Porter winds up in wars because of his fighting style, even against guys like Granados.
Well, that is what Porter is good at. But to do that a fighter has to be able to slip punches, and find a way to get to guys who are faster and more savy with their punches.
Jeff Horn...Chris Algieri...Adrien Broner...Jessie Vargas...LOL
mayweather would've had more knockouts if he fought paulie's competition, and malignaggi would probably go from 2 ko's to 0 and probably get knocked out more too.
Ha Floyd would make excuses to not fight Paulie's and Manny's competition in their primes.
Couldn't even knockout the shopworn guys and c fighters he cherrypicked. What makes you think he doing any better with anybody else's comp.
Well Porter fought just about everybody, which is more than what you can say for these modern day "fighters".
They on social media more than in the gym.
you don't factor competition? mayweather would've had more knockouts if he fought paulie's competition, and malignaggi would probably go from 2 ko's to 0 and probably get knocked out more too.
Don't you Floyd Boys overpedestalize mediocrity as it is
Of course competition is factored in. But Mayweather was a small welterweight. Mayweather is a legit same-day-weigh-in fighter. At least as close as they come to old school weigh ins. So when Mayweather campaigned at 147, he weighed 150lbs in the ring. This made his power less effective. Which brings us back to: everyone at welterweight punched harder than Mayweather. It doesn’t matter was is factored in. Mayweather was just not a puncher at all at 147-154.
But Mayweather wasn’t fighting all unknockoutable fighters either. I’ll give him Mosley, Baldomir, Maidana and Marquez.
But:
Judah?
Guerrero?
Berto?
Should have been KO’s if he was even 50% the puncher he was at 130. He just wasn’t. Even Judah was slightly bigger than Mayweather.
Maybe Judah but Guerrero was never stopped until the end of his career and Berto was stopped by volume punchers.
None of those guys was stopped because they were out cold.
shawn porter is similar to tim bradley.

In addition to the fact that if you watch them fight, the effect of one guys punches and how his opponents respond to them is much different than the other.
I like Porter he worked hard and maximized his talents, I don't remember him ever coming off as an unpleasant guy either.
Yeah man. He had heart, trained hard, gave it his all every time. Didn’t screw up outside the ring. Skill and technique were distant seconds to his strength, stamina, aggressiveness, and eagerness. He’d fight anyone too. I like him as a commentator also. I think he’s been good for the sport and continues to be.
that’s weird lol, he beat the shít out of berto
Yea when Berto was shot to sht, part time fighter at the end of his career.
His sheer aggression worked for him in some fights but against top competition, his poor skills and technique really showed.

Wow OP is just plain wrong in an outright embarrassing way. All these years of watching said fighters run, hold (basically fight scared) and then people have the audacity to say skills pay the bills. Shawn had a very close fight with Spence and Thurman. Broner has power, Maidana said he hits harder than Floyd. Also Shawn had to go down to 144 or something.
Hitting hard is useless if it goes the distance and or doesn't score knockdowns.
Even Pac's WW run usually went the distance and he probably hit harder than all of them.
