Ortiz was already tested against Kavaliauskas. Let's be honest.
You've seen the fight. It was a see saw competitive fight and Vergil
finally managed to eke out an impressive KO.
When are we going to see Ennis with these types of fights?
Let's not mention Ortiz vs Ennis, both camps want none of it.
This thread is, like the title says, is about
REAL, AVAILABLE fights, not fights that can't be made at the moment.
I did, but did that thread indicate anything I was in favor of that fight?
I don't know about it indicating you wanting the fight or not, but you mentioned it and then I told you why it was highly unlikely to happen.
You then tried to imply I was saying Crowley will give Ennis the test we are all looking forward to when that's not what I said.
Anyways, we can drop it here. I will repeat what I've said a hundred of times but until Ennis is signed to one of the top promoters, this is his reality. No one is going to serve him up one of their big names anytime soon. He needs to win the IBF belt and then see if he could entice a big name to fight him or just move up to 154.
I wouldn't call Stanionis a "Eurobum" at all. He's a solid, exciting fighter.
I'm sure he'd decapitate that UK bum Benn in 7 rounds. Benn is all hype.
I don't think that Benn is all hype but he has not proved himself to be that dangerous fighter. I would favor Boots in that fight.
Why are you using the word "doe" here?
So have you yes or no in the past brought up the potential match up of Ennis vs Stanionis?
I did, but did that thread indicate anything I was in favor of that fight?
You lost me doe, utterly lost... You want me to provide "reason why Stanionis would risk his standing to fight Boots?"
which I didn't want in the first place. What do you expect from me now?

I'm glad I don't have to give you any. I don't even know where you got this idea from
where I said I want Stanionis for Ennis' next fight. But it's okay, you might have missed this
thread where I said Stanionis just barely eked out a SD win vs Butaev.

I'm not sure what the point of you linking that thread was? You have mentioned Stanionis in the past, have you not? If you have not, others have. And Stanionis had a very good performance against Butaev. That was a good win.
When I mentioned Crowley, you start getting upset when I am just listing the most likely opponent for Ennis. He's just not going to get the big plates without being aligned with one of the top promoters. Just not going to happen so his best bet is becoming mandatory and getting a title shot that way.
Ennis keeps asking for the Thurman fight but we damn well know that is not going to happen. It would be great if it did but just not happening.
He's in a tricky spot until he gets a title. And even if he gets a title, no guarantee he gets the big fights so he probably will be forced to move up to 154 soon.
"Barely managed to eke out a UD win" lol.
I like that, good humour.
Regardless if that fight determines his standing in the sport is irrelevant. It's the fight that is likely to happen. You still have not given ONE good reason why Stanionis would risk his standing to fight Boots? What does he gain there when he's already the world WBA champion and he either fights for the vacant super title or better yet, he may just get elevated to super champion?

I prefer a risk. Like what Teo took fighting Loma. If your great, don’t be shy. I think Spence would do it after Crawford. He looked a little annoyed by him. I don’t think Boots people would go for it though.
Stanionis he would def be a good test plus he doesn't have a lot of people trying to protect and build him up. Also Thurman he’s past it but it’s a good option to see if the winner is deserving of title shot. There’s also Ben but it’s unlikely they let them fight each other so early with out more hype behind the fight.
Thurman pricing himself out allegedly, but Boots vs Thurman is very interesting
Thurman wanted a 10 million guarantee for Crawford. Unless Haymon forced him to fight Ennis it ain't happening.
Mean Machine has KO David Avanesyan who has knocked out Josh Kelly and hard hitting Kerman Lejarraga 2x.
Keith Thurman has been rocked multiple occasions by over the hill Josesito Lopez and Mario Barrios who was knocked out by Gervonta Davis a lightweight.

Shawn Porter would be the best test to date if you don't consider those fighters a challenge, but he has retired.
That's probably one of the best combinations I've ever seen
Ennis will most likely take Crowley for his next fight, according to our friend here.
Remember that Canadian fella, who barely managed to eke out a UD win
against over-the-hill Josesito Lopez?
Hardly a fight that could determine Ennis's standing in the sport.

They can fight again, but just won't be against each other. Stanionis especially is not going to risk his status to fight Ennis for no title. Why would he do that? Would Ennis take the fight? Of course, but he needs those types of names so it would make sense for him. Just that it makes no sense for Stanionis.
Ennis is likely fighting someone like Crowley this year before fighting for the title in early 2023.
The winner will almost certainly move up. If not, then Stanionis/Ennis will be right in line to fight for the title(s).
Stationis is a pretty good win, he is coming up from a win against Butaev though struggled whenever the Russian boxed instead of fighting in the pocket.
Shawn Porter retired too soon as he is the best choice in my opnion, would have been interesting fight against Ennis.
Regis Prograis would be an excellent challenge if he moves up. A very hard hitter that is technically sound and fights at PBC.
