I’m not denying JMM was a beast to make the fight so competitive. If you thought he won the fight, or a draw was fair, that is your opinion. I’m not debating that.
The only part where JMM was lucky was the judge who incorrectly scored the first round. Had they scored it 10-6 instead of 10-7, JMM would’ve lost by split decision. Yet he eeked out a draw. Do you think there would’ve been 4 fights had JMM lost the first 3 fights? IMO, no. I think after the 3rd fight nobody would ask for a 4th. That’s why I think he was lucky
It's worth repeating...how can a guy eek out anything after getting knocked down 3x in the opening rd ?
TBF, JMM should have won the fight on principle.
When ''if'' is involved, anything can happen.
What if JMM KO'd Pac in the 2nd rd of the 1st fight ?
Luck ?!?!?
Most guys would have given up in the 2nd rd.
Who here can recall the last time a guy got knocked down 3x the same rd and managed to make it a close assed fight ?

Could give a fook about pac. Only simple minded, no life, no sex, living in their parents basement care about living vicariously through others.
Get a life and grow the fook up.
Preach.......
Pac bois get so defensive :haha:

It’s not that hard to see. Not sure why anyone would make a post a topic on it. I think too many people on here are bored with their lives and try to make up sheeit that means nothing the themselves and everyone else. How bout getting out if the house, exercise, go out in a date, take a class?
No one has to reply
JMM is a favorite of mine due to his tenacity.
His 1st fight with Pac is legendary.
Pac bloodied him up, knocked him down, but could never end him.

That’s boxing.
SRR and Lamotta fought 6 times. Pep fought Saddler 4 times. And back in the land of no footage, some boxers fought eachother 10+ times.
Mayweather needed to rematch only two fighters, Castillo and Maidana and he knew that immediately as he offered immediate rematches to both fighters, publicly in the post fight, and followed through with it. He also ended any talks of who is better in the rematches.
Some of his critics felt he should have rematched DLH and Pacquiao. Now I can see why DLH, that WAS actually a close fight imo.
Pacquiao fight wasn’t close. Two judges scored it accurately 116-112, 8 rounds to 4. One judge’s 118-110 was wide. Ultimately all judges had Mayweather winning comfortably 8 minimum.
Both were top fighters, but Pac obviously will go down more in history. For me Pac couldn't decisively handle his business decisively with Marquez which is the only reason there was a need for that fight to happen more than 3 times.
I don’t think there’s many real boxing experts that put Pac top 10 let alone #3.
A certain cult rely on quotes from experts declaring Pac to be #3.
Citing Pac's risk taking ( :lol1: ) to be otherworldly
No fighter on Erath has taken so many risks
True
One would have assumed #3ATG would have figured out JMM and not need 4 tries.
Just my take on it.

JMM earned a draw after being down 10-6 in the 1st round. Many people thought JMM won both rematches.
The 4th fight was Manny ducking Floyd. He was on record as saying he had nothing more to prove with JMM when JMM wanted a 4th fight.
Floyd offered him $40 mil no ppv deal. Manny turned it down. Then he made the JMM fight because it was the most lucrative fight for him as the a-side.
Pac avoided May for as long as his finances could last.
Inside, Pac was jumping for joy May reached out to him in Miami.
Pac's greatest financial achievement.
Just another payday for May.
Like I said, Marquez was lucky one of the judges scored the first rounds 10-7 instead of 10-6. He was also lucky that some judge gave him a scorecard of 115-110. Scoring it a draw is questionable, let alone having Marquez clearly ahead. I had Manny winning 6 rounds, so with the 3 knockdowns, it wasn't that close to me.
But regardless of how you scored the first fight, had the judge not messed it up? I honestly doubt we would've seen a fourth fight, assuming the second and third fights go the exact same way. No one would've been wanting a 4th fight if Marquez was 0-3 against Pac.
Luck ?!?!?
