I feel Tank will find the way to duck. Haney. Tank only fights for WBA regular belts.
Haney has a rematch clause he has to honor and Bob Arum owns him for the considerable future.
There will be nothing but Top Rank in-house fights next.
well done to haney, thats super stuff going all that way and taking the titles, plus to kambo too, he could have easily i presume taken a few easier fights and milked the belts and he too came all the way around the world to take the belts himself from teo
rematches u never know 100%, could be same again or kambo could do better
He fought a weak champ. If teo won would he have fought teo?
You mean would Teo have fought him. I highly doubt that.
None of the other top guys seemed willing to fight Haney. Now they have to if they really want the belts.
It’s fine if people think Haney is boring ( last night out a couple my boys to sleep lol) or if you don’t like him.
But let’s stop the BS- Haney is too fast and had the reach that all the LW’s are going to avoid. That is why they didn’t fight him and why Kambosos team made an offer that they figured would be rejected.
Yes we should always give respect to fighters who are willing to go out of their comfort zone to chase greatness. Win or lose they deserve respect. Haney deserves a lot of respect even though he isn't the most exciting fighter. Also Kambosos deserves respect too. He could have defended his titles against a much easier opponent after his tough win against teofimo but he chose the young hungry lion from Las Vegas United States of America. Respect to everyone. To boxers and non boxers. Everyone deserves respect!!!! :)

Fought the safest fight possible. Didnt throw in combination. Didnt make a statement that sent shockwaves throughout the lightweight division. He even admitted in the post fight interview he took round 12 off, lmao.
Hope tank ices him.
Kambosos Junior could of had a easier fight for his first defense.
I don't recall many champions, after winning titles then jumping straight back in to a mega fight.
There is probably a few of late, but not many.
They both dared to be great, but Kambosos Junior attitude opened the doors.
Maybe Kambosos dared to be great by fighting Haney when he didn't have to, when he could have fought some low-key fight or a Mando instead of a dangerous fight like Haney. Maybe it was Kambosos who dared to be great, not Haney.
I got no issues giving credit to those US fighters who are willing to go on the road to make a name, but I guess that also has to mean that non US fighters who travel to the US deserve the same credit. :dunno:

LOL Teo made every excuse he was already undisputed until Josh Taylor checked him so he didn't have to fight him. How our memories don't work?
Going into the enemy territory, small favorite. That is daring to be great. Fighting a +500 underdog is not.
If haney dared to be great he should be icing fighters like kambosos in 7 or 8 rounds breaking them down
Haney will fold against other champions
kambosos getting that belts was a complete fluke, teo underestimated and fought with an illness that's how much he underestimated kambosos ....does anyone blame him for underestimating him though
kambosos went life and death with lee selby
Haney loses to Rolly Romero imo
ROLLY would polax kambosos aswell
Haney left his promoter. Haney signed with Kambosos's promoter. Haney agreed to fight Kambosos in Australia. Haney agreed to a one way rematch clause even though it was a unification fight between two undefeated fighters. Haney agreed to do a rematch in Australia if he won the first fight.
Kambosos put up every road block imaginable to avoid the fight and Haney called his bluff every step of the day. As OP said, yes, he dared to be great. He was that convinced he would win that he did everything in his power to get the fight.

Even when Haney won in a dominant fashion, he gets wobbled twice or thrice. Which is odd for someone with the polished skills that he has and his overuse of clinches. Imagine if he faced Regis Prograis or Jose Zepeda who could easily turn the tides with a well-timed hit.
Everyone gets hit, this is boxing after all but it is abnormal that it has happened in three fights in a row.
