How about I'll be the first to say Kambosos is just as featherfisted if not more so.
50% K.O ratio against scrubs and super featherweights.
He dropped a chinny, weight drained Teo who had zero regard for defense doe!
Why does nobody mention his lack of power every 5 mins?
- - Teddy so used to inhaling his own stink that he couldn't inhale Heinie stink.
Ahh but those predictions!! Teddy makes em so good!! Like the Jewish guy in Brooklyn would make an eggcream! You just can't make it the same at home...
Teddy might even get one right one of these days.
I wasn't even thinking about lack of power as sole reason, "You don't think a fighter's style of boxing, as one example among many..." Style doesn't have to include power or lack of it. Power became the focus because everyone thought it's what he needed in a fight like Kambosos. Turned out he didn't need it after all.
A lot of Haney hate comes from his style which does not favor a big punch. There are actually good reasons for this, but people often see it as an issue of entertainment.
You are correct. Professional prize fighting is such that if you don't need to engage with a big punch, you don't.
It's not that some fighters are spared, or not... Rather it is how completely irrational the hate is. What would be any possible reason to hate on a 23 year old fighter with skills who's willing to fight anybody put in front of him?
Power is very limited commodity in the lightweight division anyway so to say a fighter who does not use power is boring shows a lack of understanding of boxing. So yeah it's not like some fighters are spared, or not, it's just that some fighters seem to attract the haterade..

You guys can't help playing the victim card can't you? You don't think a fighter's style of boxing, as one example among many, could be reason for the antagonism? I won't even have to mention Haney playing the Bhop card.... Do you play victim card when Canelo, Golovkin get the haterade machine day in and day out? Why only on Haney? No fighter is spared from haterade machine, Loma, Lopez, Kambosos, etc.

The father of all hardcore boxing the great Ted Atlas' comment about Haney/Kambosos centered around Haney's lack of power. So how is this even considered as something unusual?

Did what he had to but made no new fans tonight apart from Kambosos.
Reminded me of when Usyk tvvatted Bellew and the absolute sickening amount of praise and d1ck riding that ensued.
I get getting humbled but that was a bit uncomfortable to watch at the end there
I was wrong for sure about it being his hardest fight, haney wasn't great but did what he had to do. Kambosos could have done more, a disappointing fight but the right winner.
9-3 or 10-2
Haney will have zero problems out boxing Kambosos apparently, thanks for the laugh kev.
Win or lose and i think lose, Haney will be in his most difficult fight of his career so far.
Sadly, I was right.
Kambosos Junior battered Lopez Junior, the damage he inflicted on Lopez was horrific.
I don't think Kambosos Junior is a big puncher, but he can inflict damage and seems very spiteful.
You get point scoring fighters, who seem to not cause much damage. I would not put Kambosos Junior in this bracket.
But yes, as I said before neither fighter is a monster puncher etc.

Kambosos boxes at home, he is the champ, he will be aggressor. he will get a decision unless Haney stops him.
Haney has signed a multi fight deal with Top Rank. Kambosos isn’t a Top Rank fighter and can take the belts if he wins.
Top Rank will rob Kambosos even in Australia if they have to. Promoter power is all that matters. Arum already said Top Rank have overseen the choice of judges.
When Haney moves up to 140 I think he is going to be dropping and stopping guys. He's not a big puncher but I feel making 135 depletes him a lot.
His punch resistance, his stamina at the back end of fights and his power.
He is known as a bit of a puncher in the gym.
The best time to catch him is now while that weight cuts taking a lot out of him.
People call him pillow-fists but nobody is walking through him and that is him depleted.
We've seen it many times with guys like Crawford for example, once they stop depleting themselves they can punch a bit, Haney won't be any different.

I can only dream that Kambosos is not only his most difficult fight of his career, but also comes out victorious in an amazing performance.
You are welcome for the laugh, but we’ll revisit this discussion later, after the fight.

Nobody really rates Kambosos highly, I think most fans respect him as an underdog after he came to America and took Lopez’s titles with a clear decision win. Kambosos is the Ring champion, yes, that puts him over everyone else. But many fans who like him also acknowledge that his time at the top could be very limited. He can very likely be a “one hit wonder” or not. Who knows?
Haney on the other hand, we all remember his very cowardly display vs an old, past prime Linares, who was KO’ed literally the very next fight. Linares has 7 losses, all but 1 by KO. Gamboa has 5 losses, all but 1 by KO.
Again, vs Haney, he is an underdog in my eyes. I respect his grit and determination, not his power.
Haney has showed a complete lack of power vs very low or old opponents, chinny opponents. Mainly Gamboa and Linares.
Back before Kambosos upset Lopez, I was disappointed at Lopez for his diva behavior, refusing to give Lomachenko a rematch like a true champion, talking about $million minimum purses. It was embarrassing for me to be a Lopez supporter. Kambosos win over Lopez meant so much than just an underdog winning an upset. It showed young champions that you should put more work in before you go around trying to be the next Mayweather.
Haney should really have zero issues outboxing Kambosos. I mentioned a long time ago that Kambosos is calling everyone out and wants the best but that he will lose immediately, he will lose to Haney. BUT, I also said that win or lose, Kambosos is showing all these divas, real champion behavior.
Kambosos is the champion fans want, but he is unlikely to be the champion fans will get. Meanwhile, Devin Haney is not the champion that fans want, but that’s the champion fans will get after tonight.

Yeah. That's a fact. Every fighter that enters the limelight get's shat on by fans, for different reasons, but still.
There always has to be a lightening rod for the haterade machine... Haterade much like coffee is in demand! For a while it was Dylan Whyte... and not it has become Haney... no reason in particular. Haney is in that haterade LImelight...
