pulev is old same age as kovalev, only thing he had over kovalev was natural size, thats really it, kovalev was quicker and more experienced. Kovalev will have problems with a young buck who has speed AND size/power on him

I want to see him again against a better opponent. He must fight more often as he himself said. If anything, he looked a little unstable sometimes, but this has probably to do with regaining instinctive composure and timing after such a long layoff. Wlodarczyk would be a decent test. Both at a similar age too.

If he beats Makabu, it's by decision imo, which is very possible at this point, maybe even likely. Still think there would be a good chance of Makabu clipping Kovalev and knocking him out. I expect Kovalev to suffer a KO defeat within his next 3 fights

he could beat Makabu (who is very shopworn at this point) but he was reacting very badly to whenever Pulev actually landed something clean.

Tervel Pulev is a horrible opponent. We need to see Kovalev in there with someone close to the top 15 before we even begin to speculate.
