No instructions in the corner. Not even a motivation speech. After all these years, Canelo still fighting in spurts.
Oscar actually suggested to him years ago that he should leave Reynoso.
Should have listened to Oscar.
Yeah actually I did and so did Bivol he actually stated it in the ring after the fight. Canelo was putting everything he had into his shots and looked exhausted after 4 or 5 rounds. How about just attempting to land a shot instead of throwing all you've got into it. It just so happens I've been very open about not being a Canelo fan or anything but as a boxing fan strategy is key and his strategy of knocking Bivol out isn't gonna work. He will have to try and actually use feints and footwork and I'm not guaranteeing anything but a better fight for him and a worse for Bivol flips those scorecards around the other way.
So you expect Canelo , at this stage of his career , change it up ?
Why not just see facts for facts
Canelo is to small and his power doesn’t carry to light heavyweight
He’s lucky it was Bivol in there instead of a Beterbiev or even a Smith , he would have been brutally knocked out
Anyway , you wanna teach an old dog new tricks , it just ain’t happening
Everyone talks about what Canelo can fix for the rematch but don’t you think Bivol would make adjustments also
I won’t even go off about all the nuthuggers cause imo they are just bias and totally ignorant , ffs they even started mentioning Usyk lol
Notice how quiet the nuthuggers have been , not a fughin beep , reality finally settled in
No, I've said for years Canelo should have been disciplined and stayed at 154-160. He won't have any significant reign at 168 (yeah he got "undisputed, but not in the same way Crawford, Usyk, or Charlo got it) or 175. He's 5'7 fighting in division where everybody is 6'0+ with longer reach. Imagine Marvin Hagler fighting Michael Spinks, that's essentially what Canelo did to himself. Canelo style is worse since he mostly a measured boxer trying to get to taller opponents and I suspect he won't be able to hurt most guys who actually show up to win.
No.
This fight was down to the fighter. A trainers main work, takes place during training camp.
Alvarez knows how to fight. It was just that on fight night? His endurance and lack of gears, let him down.
Simple.
Bivol will always outpace Canelo. Those beefy muscles are tired way to quick, so he has to knock Bivol out. Bivol will always Outpace him, outwork him and cruise to an easy UD.
Beterbiev however will not only outwork Nelo, he will also maul him into retirement.
I said except crooked scorecards. Canelo flat out doesn’t have the tools to beat Bivol. Ever.
I respect your opinion on the topic but I personally disagree

He fights in spurts cause he has a lot of muscle sucking up oxygen. Only skinny, little muscles boxers can do marathons.
Reynoso AND Canelo NEVER thought that Bivol could walk through his shots. It’s no one’s fault but they can adjust but I doubt enough.
Yes he should.
And he should stop listening to media hype that made him believe he could unify 175.
Bivol fight was a very crazy step for a big pleasure for us Canelo haters and boxing diehards that never believed in his chances against elite light heavys.
I admire his passion to even try, but this was not a right direction for him.

Are you serious? I didn’t see a damned thing (that was actually fixable) that leads me to believe Canelo could ever beat Bivol. Except maybe more crooked scorecards. Did you?

I think the combination of Canelo having an off night and Bivol having a near perfect fight came into play. Credit to Bivol but a rematch could turn out very different IMO. The fight is winnable for Canelo and I completely agree with why would you wanna see the fights where you know the winner every time. That takes the fun out of it if you ask me.

I always say Canelo is ATG despite Reynoso. Reynoso is one trick pony. Only hooks and power punches.
I hate to give this poster any credit but I’ve actually seen him post this and it was before the Bivol fight.
Alvarez should still fight Bivol in a rematch. Bivol is not unbeatable...Alvarez should reassess what he needs to fix and try again.
Legitimate he won 2 rounds so rounds are winnable, he just has to adjust. Floyd beat him, Alvarez adjusted his style and went on a 9 year winning streak (on paper).
Why would boxing fans want fighters to take easy fights? Alvarez was daring to be great by fighting Bivol.

He was giving him instructions in the corner and was trying to light a fire under his ass. Don't remember his exact intentions but he kept calling Canelo "cabron" which in that context/setting is like saying "come on fucker, what's going on!?" . Moot point regardless,Canelo will never fire the Reynosos, they're family...nor should he imo.
Nope you can search till forever I never said that haha. and never will as I'm not an idiot to say that stupid ****.
And I never said that Canelo will beat Bivol (and never said that Bivol will beat Canelo) as I followed Bivol for a very long time, knew his skills and he was already calling the big names since his debut.
You know who will say Canelo beat Usyk, someone that has an IQ of a table.
There are a lot of tables in this forum.
Were you not one of the idiots saying Canelo would beat Usyk "easily"
Nope you can search till forever I never said that haha. and never will as I'm not an idiot to say that stupid sh*t.
