Nelo won't dare to choose Joe Smith Jr. for another crack at 175
Joe Smith Jr. is a part-time construction worker and his arms are hardened by holding the jackhammer all day long... Nelo's arm punches strategy won't put a dent on Joe's iron arms... Also Joe's 76" long orangutan arms will pose a BIG problem against Nelo's 70" t-rex arms... Even if Joe loses to Beterbiev, I still think Nelo will be hesitant to choose him if he wants another fight at 175...
Yeah i dont doubt that. i would squeeze down to welterweight and im a heavyweight if i was guaranteed a million bucks. I dont doubt his desire and confidence in making 168 but do we truly know how effective he wil be fighting an elite fighter under the lights fighting at a weight he has never been in years. Chad dawson thought he could do it against Andre Ward and look how that turned out for him. lets just say its easier said than done. Those extra 7 pounds have to come off from somewhere and Bivol is already chiselled
hopefully we will see this rematch fight at 168 ...
Bivol was already planning 3 years ago to go down to 168 to fight Nelo... So I think he will have a proper preparation for this one division south fight...

Guys, don`t be naive again. the most of you didn`t believe Bivol would beat Canelo, now you guys say Canelo beats Smith jr.
Canelo was very overrated in terms that he beats everybody around. Smith jr. is nothing like Bivol, but he is much stronger, he was able to actually hurt him.
Fighting washed up unmotivated Kovalev should have been it for Canelo at 175.
Joe is a tough match up for Nelo...

Joe smith is tailor made for canelo. His skills are severely lacking. Who cares if his arms are "hardened"?
:lol1: "hardened" .... If Nelo fights Joe at 175 then I will humbly eat crow... :D
Canelo stands a better chance of winning then. There is no way Bivol can come down in weight and expect to be a better version of himself at that weight. As for Canelo he has campaigned at 175 twice and both fighters handled him relatively easy if not for Kovalev being shot he too would have beat Canelo. Canelo is a different animal at 168. He is too short to be carrying weight in excess of 180 pounds

People want to slight Nelo because he may not be able to beat bigger guys
What goals do these fight fans have of their guy ?
Stay where it's safe :lol1: ?!?!?!
Nelo beating Joe is very possible... I'm just pointing out that Joe most probably nullifies one of Nelo's offensive weapon, the arm punches... This might not work on Joe too... I agree, Joe is a different animal compared to the boxers that already beat Nelo or got close decisions... Joe's main weapons are his power, strength, granite chin and those long orangutan arms...
Oh yeah I got that. I think your points are solid. If canelo and smith both won, I was sure canelo was going to fight him in December.
That would be something but I don't think Canelo will let Bivol come down to "his division" and challenge him for all his belts, because Canelo losing at 168.... that's the end for him....
Nelo has to live with this challenge right in his own weight division... "Challenges" is not exclusively for Nelo only.... Other boxers also want to challenge themselves in order to be great...
I think he beats Smith. He hits hard but isn’t anywhere near the boxer the guys that beat or got questionable judges decisions against Canelo.

Bivol is willing to fight Nelo at his lane, at 168 ...

He will have to fight Bivol again or go back down to 168. He could even afford getting beat twice by BIVOL but getting beat by 2 different players in the 175 is unthinkable. They are all capable of beating him in that Division and as much as i like Canelo he needs to stay in his Lane
