Good big fighter >>>> good/great small fighter.
Bivol actually understood he was the bigger dude and didnt fight like a pussy the way Plant and Kovalev did. Kovalev and Plant for some reason was so scared of the smaller Canelo..
He didn't even use his size IMO. He outboxed Canelo, was quicker, had better footwork and cleaner punches. Canelo looked like a brick wall moving around last night, he was slow and out of gas mid way through. He belongs at 168 or even 160 .
Point stands.. Bivol wasn't intimidated by Canelo's hype and fought his fight.. Plant and Kovalev fought scared of a much smaller fighter.
There are weight divisions for a reason
Bivol fought like he usually fights. Usually he fights bigger men, because he is not a very big 175 guy. He didn`t use his reach advantage much. Bivol has always been much better outside fighter, his inside game is not great.
It was not even the hardest fight in his career.

Bivol fought more like the smaller man. Used stamina conservation strategy the first half, kept on his toes, used speed, used volume. That’s all the things the smaller man is supposed to bring. If the bigger dude is faster, busier and better strategically than you, you’re not likely winning.
You could make Canelo the bigger fighter and nothing changes, that was basically what just happened to Joshua. One guys used fients, feet and movement to tire the other. Canelo needs far better stamina to beat Bivol. To start.
