Exactly as I said, you do not understand. I'm certain that Canelo did the best he could to hydrate fully but it was too much. At 154 he was at his limit, against the rail. 152 was that proverbial straw. Pretty sure Lara and Trout both beat this weak version of Canelo, so what? That's a full 7 pounds, essentially a different weight class.

2nd Weigh-In: Alvarez 172 lbs., Trout 171 lbs.

That doesn’t make sense. He made weight and made it comfortably.
What was his fight night weight against Trout?
Yeah I did. He was 153 on the scales for Trout and 152 for Floyd.
Unless you were talking about rehydrating. If so, please post a source because I was unaware of that.
Edit: just IronDan’s post. It’s clear I was unaware.
Isn’t the decision how much weight you put on after the boxer’s decision? If so, why would you penalize an opponent for a decision the boxer made?

Did you just compare snooker to boxing? Which Olympic sports are you referring to? How many athletes in a contact sport perform better at 36+ than the version of themselves in their late 20's, early 30's? I'm sure there's a few exceptions but the overwhelming majority of athletes in a physical sport won't be performing better at that age.
What I'm saying is you can't say with proof that 36 year old Floyd would be beaten by a younger floyd. And nobody is going to convince me 23 year old floyd beats 36 year old floyd.. Most, if not all Floyd fans just play the lazy chronological age game.
Need something concrete, like I have given to prove nel o was nowhere near prime.
Floyd was past prime and Canelo was entering his prime
Canelo holds the dubious distinction of being one of the absolute best guys that Floyd fought before his was prime, all the other guys that fit that distinction were shopworn
I forgot no such thing. You don't understand what I said

Canelo being 7 pounds under his previous weight, makes the question moot.
Why would that make it moot?
That's his choice what he wants to rehydrate to.
You were wrong just admit it and move on. They didn’t even do fight night weigh in. Any guesses about their fight night weight is purely speculation. I’m glad you pointed out that he weighed in less than 154 lbs vs Trout though. Definitely makes Floyd win look better.
They did do the fight night weights.
For both the Trout fight and the Floyd fight.
For Trout he was 172 and for Floyd he was 165.
Notice the dudes who posted Floyd;
Silence- Canelo avatar and noted Canelo knob gobbler under his previous screen names
Hugh Grant- noted pac nutsack gurgler who deleted the post once Floyd beat all the guys he asked him to.
Elpacman- longtime pac cum swallower still upset his idol got beaten easily.
4truth even forgot Canelo wasn’t 160 the fight before.
lmfao.
Guys- the writing is on the wall and none of you want to admit it- Canelo is on pace for an ATG career and he may have 1 loss- a dominant shutout loss to 36 yr old Floyd.
At some point, even the dumbest, pac and canelo nutsack washingest, Floyd hating clown that DKSAB realizes this shows just how great Floyd was.
I forgot no such thing. You don't understand what I said
Gayweather was closest to his prime and that's a fact. He's also a known h.omosexual who hasn't been seen with a woman in almost 16 years since he beat up on his baby momma.
Disagree! Silence is a noted Canelo knob gobbler under his current screen name too (Canelo is as elusive as Pernell Whitaker, there were a lot of close rounds in the Floyd/Canelo fight, etc). But you got the rest right.
Lmfao. Hahahahaha

Floyd was a well preserved 36 who was at the height of his cherrypicking career by the time he fought Canelo.
A guy fighting that many easy fights. He had one more in him definitely. Shout out to Floyd
...and Shout out to Canelo though when Floyd tried to talk s**t about him he said lets run it back in the ring. Of course we know Floyd couldn't because he already had a tough fight lined up with the Japanese kickboxer, or was it the Youtuber, or was it the cherrypicked sparring partner who he's cherrypicking for his latest sideshow. Hard to keep up with these days.
Your just playing word games. Many athletes produce their best at 36 athletes produce best times, win Olympic titles, snooker players play the best snooker they ever played. Primes are individual so as sportsman you can say when you produced your best is your prime. The version of nel o that Floyd fought wouldn't be favourute against light heavyweight champs at that time. Nobody would think Nel o back then would be beating light heavyweights in future
Nel o was so poor back then, nobody was sure if he was just a flash in pan after Floyd loss. And would disappear just like just about every fighter Floyd beat. Heavyweight champs weren't calling nel o out back then, like usyk is calling nel o out now.
If Floyd was past prime at 36 we are talking microscopic differences hard to gauge. But Floyd had learnt all he was ever going learn at 36, and had as much experience as he was ever going to need. If 36 year old Floyd fought his prime 32 year old self you don't know what would happen. 32 year old nelo destroys the version of nel o that Floyd fought, and ko s Floyd in 4 rounds.
This thread is a rhetorical question we know the answer to, it don't mean you have to take it seriously. If a thread starter asks who is greater ATG Ali or Riddick bowe, don't mean it's a serious question, rather more like controversial or trolling. Saying nel o was more prime than floyd is bordering trolling, don't take the bait and be so militant. You're just looking like more of a fanboy than you already have a reputation for being. Don't be a martyr, don't be a hero - leave it to bodybagz, roadblock, the big Dunn to sacrifice their lack of credibility as they've nothing to lose in first place. Take that as a backhanded compliment. Let it go, don't go head to head with me here, I'm protecting you, I'm your protector

Canelo
Only in boxing do you get excuses stupid enough to call a 36 year old closer to prime than a 23 year old.
Boxing fans are so dumb they will call any point in a man's life when he is at his most successful prime regardless of actual display of skills, technique, or any physics at all.
Wlad's prime just happens to be when there was no HWs in shape. Was green prior and old after but that entire time he fought nothing but no hopers he was prime.
Great post!!!!

- - U alternate between looking shiny or frosted sorta like...not a chameleon!
. No professional athlete is in his prime at 36. Absolutely stupid to think that.
This is just more agenda driven bu!!shyte on your part because Floyd EASILY beat your hero (Manny).

Okay but suppose they did. Do you think that a 7 pound weight difference would be significant? Would it change your mind about the effect the catchweight had on Canelo??
