Ugas also hit Spence way after the bell multiple times,hes a dirty fighter who should've had a pt deducted for ignoring the ref also. He also constantly, and blatantly pushed Spence. There was clear shoving by Ugas in improper moments. Like when Spence was on the inside going to the body and around Ugas guard, no holding or anything by Spence, just inside fighting. And Ugas continuously shoved him away. Pushing is perfectly fine if your opponent is holding you, wrestling, trying to headlock you. But you can’t shove just because you are losing a clean, inside battle.

While Spence did look visibly hurt and was likely held up only by the ropes (which is a KD), he still showed that it will take more than just a sucker punch to KO him. As we have seen, if you are chinny, yes sucker punches can KO an opponent. Mayweather isn’t the biggest puncher, but he caught Ortiz off guard in retaliation for Ortiz’s intentional headbutts and he got the KO. I have seen enough of Spence to know Crawford will need more than just firepower. But we have also seen enough of Crawford to know that you can be a lesser fighter, with some pop, and hurt him. As Gamboa and Kav showed. Spence isn’t a lesser fighter, and has good pop. Crawford has shown that he needs room to be effective. The most discomforting parts of the Porter fight was when Porter was fighting on the inside, making it a dog fight. Porter won those rounds, which were about 4 different rounds out of the 9. Porter’s issue however, is that he smothers his own work as well, which he did the same vs Kell Brook. If Spence can make it a dog fight with Crawford, keep it inside, smother Crawford, while not smothering himself, it can be a long & grueling night Crawford. I think its a much closer fight than many think, the thing I like about Errol is he now has a fire burning white hot inside him, has his diet and conditioning the best it can be, definitely a force to be reckoned with, it has the potential to be a barn burner.
