You're a complete idiot. First off...the thread is about Chavez breaking the Philly shell, and Maywaether was an excellent example and a two-division world champion. Second...Mayweathers 59 wins was more than most Pro boxers total fights In a lifetime. You are one of the least knowledgeable posters about the sport on this site. Go away.
Maybe so, but it's still one name.
Peace out.
First off, I'm just having fun while mixing in some valid opinions.
Less than 60 W's
13L's, 6 by KO
....how good could he have been ?
After his prerequisite ''fighting bums'' phase (which 95% of everyone goes through), he was pretty much a 50% fighter.
He was able to string together a couple of ''win'' streaks by find some questionable opponents.
Still, that's 1 name and Julio wasn't the only one who mashed him.

Now I know you never even saw Roger Mayweather fight. He was very slick and a devastating puncher. Stop talking about what you know nothing about

Rog wasn't that good.
Even still, one name out of 100+
I always love Julio's angry face, though.
Him and Duran had HOF fight faces.

He beat Roger Mayweather twice. Roger knew what he was doing.

Chavez was too good but we have a few Einsteins here who love to shout out loud how he was not.
We also have fans who don't like to mention names to use as examples
You already admitted to never having even sparred a single round in your life.
I skipped sparring
I skipped amateurs
When you excel at everything, why waste time ?
He's also never fought anyone doing what I said at 154 at his peak. Mosley was head hunting, Vargas and so was Tito. Just bang, bang, bang..
His jab would throw them off too.
Winky never dropped his arms by the 6th round.

Before looking at the video, the key to breaking down that defense is to hit something. Hit the arms, elbows, forearms, something... Just hit something and by the 6th or 7th round, their arms will be so bruised or tired, they will drop them and it will open up head shots mixed in with body shots. That's who you break down the style of defense.
