Yes, Fundora will smother you with activity and pressure. I still haven't seen the fight because I saw Lubin's face once I turned from the DAZN card. Lol
They have replayed it a couple times already on Showtime and I believe you can watch it on the Showtime app too. I'll check and see if I can send a link to it.
People saying Lubin needs to box more don't know what they are talking about. You can't really box someone with that much height and reach on you especially when they are pressing you the entire time.
Fundira takes one step or swings one time and covers any distance you used to move around. You pretty much have to keep him either honest by catching him clean on the inside or out work him up close.
Alot of people are talking about Lubin not following the corners direction but I credit Fundora for that. He didnt allow Lubin to breathe much less give him a chance to actually box. Fundora had a game plan and implemented his first and successfully. He deserves some credit for that and Lubin deserves credit for showing his heart and determination.

I believe we all were waiting around to see if Lubin would get the job done, lol. He's stopped guys like that in the same fashion but I assume Fundora is more of an animal than the other guys.
Some said Lubin wasn't following Cunningham's instructions...we must take that into account as well. Either way, he left it all in the ring.

Charlo would smash Fundora’s chin.
It may very well be. Strangely, since Charlo destroyed Lubin with one punch, I still see the latter as a better puncher than Jermell.
It would be another great fight, 50-50 for me.
I switch my pick from lubin to fundora based on the fact that lubin isnt a good mover. He sharp sharpshoots and that threat keeps lower level guy from getting up close to him, but if you are able to step through his punches, he is forced to fight on the inside.
Which he isnt good at. Just covers up often and doesnt have head or upper body movement.
Lubin also suffered a broken face syndrome and needs to get operated on his shoulder
I wonder how much that comes into play
Imo , had he more time when he knocked Fundora down , I think he would of gotten the stoppage
And to answer the op’s question , yes I think he can come back and beat Fundora
Just need some to stick to the game plan , I know it’s easier said than done when your in the ring
He would have to work that body at least the first half of the fight
Lubin never listened to his corner with the advice of stepping to the side. He just kept on eating uppercuts and did not move his head from the center. He can win if he does some adjustments.
I mean he's not going to be able to hold Fundora off of him though...Couldn't do it vs Hurd when he had better legs. Lubin is also a bigger puncher than Harrison. But Harrison is definitely taller and a sweet boxer so he will have his moments...Just think he ends up getting stopped as well.
Yeah I’d be picking Fundora mid-to-late if it happened myself.
I’d favour Fundora too but Harrison is a better mover than Lubin and is a bigger guy too I think. Haven’t checked but I’m pretty sure Harrison is over 6 foot tall.

That would be great but honestly, Harrison won't hold up either. He's a very good boxer but just look at the Hurd fight and it's going to go down just like that, but probably even worse with Harrison being older now.

He never went to his body. I like Fundora and picked Lubin to win, but Lubin never went to his body. There is no way a man that much taller than you should outfight you on the inside. Taller guys want to be on the outside and Fundora fought like Lubin should have been. lol. I was shocked.
No, that is not true. He went to the body, but as the fight continued, he kept going less and less to the body. In the early going, he was popping his jab out and then coming back with a body shot. All throughout camp all we heard from Lubin and his team was that they have to chop down the tree. Well, that's definitely not what they did and should have committed more to the body attack. The first few rounds, Lubin landed some great body shots and some were getting to Fundora where he took a slight step back. Fundora's chin is great but the body is the only chance you have and you have to attack it for 12 rounds.

yeah, Harrison doesn't stand a chance. he get fuked up badly too.
Not only that, but he's easier said than done to say all you have to do is box a guy like Fundora...If you can't slow him down or keep him off of you, then well, there's only so much boxing that is going to be done as Fundora will stay on your ass for the entire fight. Seems like you have to be a massive puncher and not just a good puncher to slow Fundora's output. He's essentially like a taller version of peak Hurd when he was beating guys like Lara and Harrison.
One mistake Lubin did make was abandoning his jab and he was able to have success and then was able to go down to the body. It only lasted a few rounds and then he was in an all out war after the KD in the 2nd round.
Lubin hit Fundora with his best shots and could not get it done. He's not going to be able to beat Fundora period.

Completely agree, he has a very good chin and he never looked like slowing down. I think the sheer size of the guy makes it very difficult to keep him off too, it’s very difficult to stay out of range.
I honestly misjudged Fundora as a bit of a freak show, he’s a lot more effective than I thought, he’s a problem for anybody at 154 IMO.
I’d like to see Fundora vs Harrison next as I’m assuming Tszyu is next in line for the Castano-Charlo 2 winner.

Call me influenced by the excitement of this last fight, but as of now I have a serious doubt about Charlo and/or Castano being able to defeat Fundora.
Nah I think beating Fundora is much easier said than done. I was very confident Lubin would beat Fundora with speed, angles, accuracy but I think he’s very difficult to keep off. Eventually he’ll get to you and test your punch resistance and durability. Although Lubin has tremendous heart I’m not sure he’ll ever have enough durability to beat a guy like Fundora. Will he even be the same fighter after that beating too?
