Who would have Haney fought next if the war didn't break out?

The Loma fight getting cancelled and Haney getting his rightful title shot is the only good thing that come out of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Yeah, I don't think he would have had a mouth-watering option if the Kambosos fight never happened.

Eddie Hearn is known for resurrecting the dead for his fighters. I wouldn't be surprised if Salido is dugged out from the grave. It's also possible Linares would get his rematch... I don't even understand why Haney opting for the Kambosos fight is such a huge deal as if he's giving everyone favors. He's getting the same money Lomachenko, who is the bigger star, was offered. George on paper is not even the risky fighter everyone wants to avoid. Everybody wants him from Tank to Cruz to Loma. People need to stop worrying about the rest of the stipulations. It's a one fight show. Kambosos wins the fight. Get it over with and we'll see who Haney fights next after the loss.

Lomachenko vs Kambosos was set to be announced before the war broke out. Everyone knows how long it takes to wait for (a) fighter/s with (a) scheduled fight/s. 3-4 months from presscon to fight night. Then another 2-4 months for the winner to get ready for the next. So it's a long wait. It's not an option for many fighters. It's not even guaranteed they'll get the fight. What exactly were Haney's options if the Kambosos fight didn't happen? He would of fought a safe fight till he could get in with the top guys.

I’m going off the eye test but Haney looks a lot longer. There is no significant difference if the numbers are correct. Kambosos is taller, reach is similar 68 to 71 inches. Boxing measures reach in a stupid way, imo. Fingertip to fingertip when it should be fist to fist. Unless you're going to poke someone in the eye. I’m going off the eye test but Haney looks a lot longer. Maybe I’m wrong…

Haney is stylistically all wrong for Kambosos and likely gives him a true boxing lesson. As you said the cards probably wont show that kind of fight but that's how I see it playing out. Maxi Hughes was my guess too it's a solid fight that Haney should win and it wouldve kept him on Dazn for another fight and kept him busy. Like I said before I believe Haney can beat Kambosos. Providing the world didnt play out the way it did and Loma and Kambosos had fought I could see Hearn getting him a Maxi Hughes type fight to keep him in the ring but considering it worked the way it did I'm proud to see he is willing to do whatever to become undisputed. I believe he beats Kambosos honestly
