I seriously see quite a few scenarios playing out in my head that all seem possible. I've been super intrigued by this match up since it was announced.
What do you guys think?
Very Excited for this one, stacked Card Overall, not sure what to expect from Sergio Garcia vs Tony Harrison either
I got Garcia in that fight. Harrison lost his father and I think his best days are behind him. Garcia performed well vs Fundora.
Lubin wins this fight. He's more experienced. Nothing hard about making predictions for this fight. Height and reach is not always an advantage. The bigger the target the bigger the success of hitting it. Of course, I can see Fundora running around while potshotting Lubin, you know, the usual circus where the smaller guy try to reach the bigger guy until the bigger guy gets caught on the ropes...
This is going to get ugly. Played out so many outcomes, I see Fondora getting stopped Pwill-Martinez rematch style or I see Fondura stopping Lubin while Lubin is out on his feet
This matchup reminds of that those fights, too.
I was thinking the 1st fight where both got knocked down, early and late, got tough to score. Lubin and Martinez both stopped early in their careers...Sergio was caught against the ropes and got stopped by Marg, and he learned. Because against Williams he kinda fell to knee late in the fight to avoid getting caught up in those situations for too long. Hate to advocate this, but Lubin might be best served to do the same to avoid getting caught up and stopped like u mentioned. But yeah it had me thinking Martinez-Williams, or some of the other southpaw v Paul Williams matchups he struggled in (Quintana, Lara). Lubin has had a lot more scares on his comeback trail than I remember Sergio having though so nobnody think I'm comparing the two fighters exactly, definitely not.

Funny, how Lubin's whole career now is all about a Charlo which should have Vanes but Vanes pulled out? He looked good vs Rosario and Hatley, both of who brought power and size into the fight. Fundora is nothing like Gausha, is more like a harder punching Paul Williams which helps Lubin b/c he will give away his advantages in the fight.
This one is hard but we are going to see why Lubin was the favorite to win Gold at 17-18.
Wished he had gone to Top Rank instead of Tyson - PBC. Great talent, handled wrong
I was going to use the Quintana/Williams example in this fight and that Lubin will need to implement a style like that. Counter with hooks all fight and get low to get Fundora to punch down and continue touching the body round after round.
Lubin to me should have started as a WW. He's a small LMW and I don't think he would have had much problem making WW. Curious to why he he did not go that route...Oh well, now he needs to find a way to get past Fundora if he wants another title shot.

I believe Fundora wins by highlight reel ESPN top ten type knockout. I like Lubin he is really gifted but he gets hit and hurt near every fight. Rosario clipped him and couldve stopped him IMO. I think Fundora will be able to not only hurt him but finish the job. I could be wrong too though because Lubin is gifted and Fundora fights small. It's intriguing no matter what and I'm looking forward to it.
I don't like when these sparring sessions get "leaked" but the body jab and straight to the body will be the key. It is something Floyd was great at and Lubin will need to land plenty of those shots to slow Fundora down.
I'm with you that I can see many different outcomes in this fight. Lubin's legs get jelly every fight at some point but he is no doubt very skilled and talented.
I thought Fundora beat Garcia but it was a competitive fight. Garcia is a good fighter though and I see him beating Harrison.
Yeah, that seems to be a common opinion. Fundora is vulnerable too but shows a better chin and has taken less punishment. If the kid doesn't learn how to take full advantage of his attributes and actually fight like a tall man then I don't see him going too much further.
Then again all my picks and predictions this year are garbage so yeah...:boxing:
I don't rate Fundora either. I thought Sergio Garcia beat him.
