Ok so Devin goes to Australia and actually manages to win. Only rematch clause allows him to deny if he goes to 140. Loma announced that he is starting training for that contingency plan. If Haney fights at 135 again, if he beat Kambosos then Loma is still next in line.
Not rocket science, just Bob’s Conspiracy’s
Jump through hoops? Kambosos first title defense will be against Haney, how is he jumping through hoops? Haney priced himself out of other big fights. If he ducks the rematch clause he is a fraud. Same way you guys were all crying when you thought Fury was going to duck the rematch clause with Wilder who he KTFO.
Dempsey, I agree aside from one that thing. If the arbitration didn’t side with Wilder, Fury would have never fought him, regardless of the outcome
- - Not rocket science, just a 1st grader writing his first current event report.
This U first or second year in the 1st grade?
Once you get out of your mother’s basement and get your civil engineering degree, build a licensed lucrative company and live a wonderful life, then I will pay attention to you son.
If I was Devin Haney, I beat George Kambosos ass in his hometown, then vacate and move up to 140 for a bum tune-up, then come back down because they cant ban me from ever coming back.
I'd talk sht about all the paper-champions holding my belts and pick the weakest to propel me to another unification on PPV. Then I talk some more sht about Bumachenko and age him some more for making me wait.
Sounds like a plan. Put Haney on Teo! Teo is mentally unstable and very beatable imo.
Truth is probably that most of the lightweight lineup is going to be at 140 next year.
Teofimo is going to 140 and I would suspect Garcia is as well, that boy looks to be putting on actual weight and not looking so scrawny.
The only reason I see anyone staying at 135 is for Tank. I personally don't see Tank going to 140 for any of those guys once they make the move. He would be giving up not only height/reach but a lot of weight as well.
Think it only applies if he wins. If he loses I doubt Bob wants to try and market him. If he had problems marketing Crawford, Haney seems more problematic.
- - Craw p4p quality wif zero personality for fans to relate to. Heinie light in his loafers can't dent a marshmallow a wanna be a contenda wif his email belt we all laugh at.
If Taylor vacates the titles at 140, that's the only way Haney moves to 140, to fight for a vacant title against some no-hoper with inflated rankings. Same with Tank.
If he beats Kambosos, I don't want to hear anyone on here giving him a pass if he ducks the rematch clause with some shenanigans.
Tbh if Haney does win and he wins convincingly he shouldn’t have to fight George again there are other fish to fry in Loma, Garcia, and Tank vs Romero winner.
If Haney manages to win the first fight, I won't be surprised if he moves up immediately to 140 because I bet he's having trouble making weight. Haney should learn from Teo's mistake and leave 135 on a high note.
Haney wasn't in any hurry to fight Teo.
I just showed you a link where he admits he lied about an offer. He also lied when he said Lomachenko was sent an offer. He chose Linares instead.
He is fighting Kambosos now, so that's not relevant. Loma avoided him. Haney should have had his shot, then. Now look at the hoops he had to go through to get his shot.
Fight twice in Australia and if he makes it through, he got fight Loma. All that just to get your deserved shot. Loco!
That's Lopez Sr words and as we came to see, he and his boy are delusional. So why do you trust his words?
If he didn't provide figures for us to judge, take Sr with a grain of salt.
So what else you got?

Haney admits he lied about offers. He is not to be trusted or taken seriously.

Teofimo Lopez Sr predicts that WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney will duck a fight against undisputed 135-lb champion Teofimo (16-0, 12 KOs) when he turns his attention to him after his title defense against George Kambosos Jr.
Haney’s decision to defend his WBC title against 35-year-old Jorge Linares, who Teofimo Sr views as the “weakest link” among the top lightweights, is a move to try and make himself “look good.”
In other words, Teofimo Sr views Haney’s decision to face “old man” Linares as him cherry-picking a safe opponent.
Teofimo Sr, the coach, and dad of IBF/WBA/WBC/WBO 135-lb champion Teofimo Lopez, believes that Haney (25-0, 15 KOs) is “SCARED” of his son, and that’ll “Outprice” himself when it comes to negotiating the fight.

Blue - I didn't.
Red - How did he end up with the belt then?
It would have gone to a purse bid and the organization would have determined the split and then he would have walked away and would not have gotten the belt. That wasn't the case. So he didn't price himself out.

Nope, if he ducks the rematch clause it's a duck. No way around that. Same way you all cried when you thought Fury wouldn't honor the rematch clause for Wilder.
He priced himself out of a potential Loma and Teo fight. That's on him.

Blue - Nope because if he is able to duck the rematch, it is because he won the first fight.
He is the number one mandatory. He should have had his shot before Leo fought Loma.

Nothing wrong if he ditches that rematch clause because he shouldn't have to jump through hoops for his shot.

Think it only applies if he wins. If he loses I doubt Bob wants to try and market him. If he had problems marketing Crawford, Haney seems more problematic.
I thought that would be the case. I imagine if he wins Bob tries and forces him to face Loma to get the belts back. Maybe they do the Teofimo fight at 140 though. Who knows.
They could probably happen at 140 though. Ryan will certainly be at 140 sooner rather than later and Tank has dipped his toe into the water at 140 already.
If Haney loses does he still have 2 more fights with TR/ESPN? Or does that only apply if he wins?
