I'm speaking of course of Joe Smith Jr.
So who is taking the tougher fight here? Seems pretty obvious, but I notice Beterbiev fans actually have the nerve to criticize Canelo's opposition.
The double standards and lack of self awareness are mind boggling.
Bivol would beat Gvozdyk like Joe Smith Jr. Gvozdyk is inactive since his loss to Beterbiev in 2019. The guy had paper mentality. Ranks are change in time. My personal ranking right now:
Beterbiev > Bivol > Joe Smith Jr.
Canelo will be #1 after he beats Bivol.
So in your hero worship mental state, if your fantasy lover (Canelo) beats the number 2 fighter (Bivol) he’s then #1, forget the current #1 fighter (Beterbiev)? Damn, you really are in love........
Canelo went for the easier fight. Calculated risk. He won't fight beterviev until he's 40
Bob Arum didn't offer him a $160 million, 3 fight deal. DAZN did.
That's what Canelo went for.
Both vodka Kovalev and prime Bivol box his ears off.
Maybe, Maybe not since that just a fantasy match up that you could predict whatever you want since its never going to happen. What i do know is he and Beterbev were regraded as the #1 and #2 of the division when they fought and he beat common opponents Kov had much better and KO'd that Cuban in 3 what it took Gilberto Ramirez to do in 10.
Who the fook is that guy? You shameless still criticize Canelo's resume.
The guy who was ranked ahead of Bivol? The guy who was among the 4 Russian speakers who ruled that weight class(Kovalev was obviously the weakest of the 4 at that point).
Why didn't Beterbiev fight Bivol before, while Canelo was unifying in another division?
And where do Beterbiev fans get off criticizing Canelo's quality of opposition?
Beterbiev fought Gvozdyk for the lineal championship and claim for best 175 lber in the division.
Stupid criticisms based on faulty reasoning deserve a response.
If people are going go take shots at a fighter at least they should do it for logical reasons, not just because they dislike the guy or because they are envious of his success.
Grow up and laugh it off. Do you really think you’re changing the narrative? If Canelo fights Bivol, he gets criticized for not fighting Beterbiev, Charlo, Benevides, ggg, etc. If he fights Beterbiev, he gets criticized for not fighting Bivol, ggg, Charlo, Benevides, etc. It means Canelo has reached a level of success very few fighters ever reach. Life is short, there’s better use of your time than trying to teach idiots that aren’t listening to begin with. Look at all of the Tom Brady critics.
So this thread was created because a couple of idiots criticized your hero for fighting Bivol and then you got sensitive and retaliated? Kinda small of you. When a fighter reaches Canelo’s status the criticism should be expected and embraced. No matter who he fights there will always be that criticism. Be the bigger man and accept it as a sign of success.
Bivol vs Beterbiev? Very few fighters have the privilege of crossing promotional lines and making fights on their own and these two fit that mode.

Beterbiev could have chased Bivol long before all this but his promoter dodged because "Bivol is boring." Bringing up who the best fighter is that he could face NOW is just an attempt to ignore that fact.
What I am trying to do is bring some perspective to the Beterbiev fanboys who are taking shots at Canelo's resume. If it wasn't for them this thread would have never needed to be made in the first place.

Quit dodging the question. If Beterbiev doesn’t get the Canelo fight (he didn’t), who is the best fighter he could face if it isn’t Smith? You’re trying to make it sound like Beterbiev is dodging quality opposition because a couple of idiots criticized Canelo for fighting Bivol. And that’s chicken shyte on your part.

Canelo chose the biggest financial deal he was offered, which was from DAZN to obviously fight DAZN fighters.
Beterbiev's promoter dodged Bivol because "that fight has no pizzazz; Bivol is sort of boring." From his own mouth.

Canelo chose Bivol not Beterbiev. It’s kind of chicken shyte of you to make it sound like Beterbiev is dodging quality opposition while your hero is fighting Bivol. So who’s the best opponent for Beterbiev if it isn’t Smith?

So let's assume I'm Bivol.
Or even Beterbiev.
I'm given the choice of fighting Beterbiev / Bivol for a unification on one hand.
On the other you're offered a massive payday against a naturally smaller ( debatable ) Canelo.
I wouldn't blame either for taking the Canelo pay day.
But Canelo calls the shots on who he fights.
Let's stop subtly Implying that Beterbiev wanted no part of Bivol.
I'd chose Beterbiev to KO Bivol.
And if they were to fight in the next year. I'd chose him to beat and possibly stop Canelo too.
The thing is that when Canelo wasn't an option, when there was no "massive payday on the other hand," Beterbiev and Bivol still didn't try to unify. Even though that was the biggest fight in the 175 lbs division.
You have to take those high risk, low reward fights. Just like Canelo did with Austin Trout and Erislandy Lara.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the Joe smith jr vs Bieterbiev fight more so than Canelo vs Bivol.
Smith and bieterbiev is gonna be a tough and fun to watch slugfest.

Why are you so dump don't you know that boxers like Beterbiev or Bivol don't have much leverage to choose their opponents it is solely up to their promoters /managers and Arum already stated that the fight between Beter and Bivol won't happen as it won't be sold out
What Arum said is that Bivol is boring.
That's a nice sounding excuse, but it isn't why Beterbiev hasn't fought Bivol.
