As far as I can see, Canelo is only better at taking drugs and paying off judges.
I'm being a jerk. Seriously though, I'm shocked Canelo is taking this fight at 175 lbs. I cannot see any advantages Canelo has over Bivol, and I'm shocked, pleased, and excited this fight is happening.
But if you have natural talent and 'warning track' power and then suddenly pack on 30 lbs muscle, you now have home run power. A Rod never needed to juice. His swing and natural ability would have carried him to the HOF. Sammy Sosa would have been an 'also ran' without the juice. It does make a difference sometimes.
Greed ($$$$) and ego (breaking records) made these guys (A Rod, Bonds, Clemens...the Big 3) want to juice. They didn't have to but they did.
I'm not aware of a drug that increases hand/eye coordination or dexterity. The Roid era was the most profitable era in MLB history. People want to say 100 year old records are getting beaten, well records are meant to get broken. HR's are sexy but legit players have more than 1 tool.
As for Nelo....he was ''guilty'', for the sake of argument. If we take that approach when he's caught, why can't we continue letting the tester do their job and we accept their findings ? That's a gripe I have when people constantly bring up clen and ignore all future tests results. Is there anyone who is tested more than Clenelo ?
''Once a cheater, always a cheater'' is their mantra.
I would have loved to have seen GGG leading the way, instead of playing catch up. To see just how good he really was.
You've made some points as you see them, but Joe Smith isn't garbage. In fact, he is very far from it.
Canelo's power is somewhat confusing. He didn't stop everyone at 154, 160, or 168. His power isn't actually overwhelming. It is more timing and accuracy with his shots that is. Bivol will prove trickier to time than Plant, for example, I think.
Have you seen him fight... Zero skill..just sloppy and relies on his power. That's why Bivol had an easy time with him and any high level opponent will do the same.

We as fans have 2 options -
Common sense) If it looks fcked up; muscles overnight, inflated stats/power prior to tests = roids. If all of that good shlt is gone after getting busted or if an athlete staright up refuses to be tested = roids.
Facts) Tests results. I don't care about common sense IF tests results are available. Facts top all. We may not like the results but it beats guesswork everyday.
The thing with MLB, and most sports, you can't inject yourself with talent. For every juiced A Rod, who was a statistical beast from day 1, there are 100's of little known juiced players who barely made a dent in the sport.

Canelo has better head movement, power, body work, fienting, counter punching, ring generalship, and way more experience fighting at the highest level.
Bivol's best opponent was Salamov. If you watch that fight you'll see Salamov had success and he is no where at the level of Canelo. Obviously Salamov had physical advantages over Bivol and Canelo, but don't think it will make much difference. Salamov showed good head movement, over hand rights, left hooks, and standing toe to toe can work against Bivol. What Bivol hasn't had is someone like Canelo hitting him cleaning and getting counter. Bivol will have to adjust when he feels Canelo's pop and we'll have to wait and see what he does. Depending on the fight Canelo plans to give Bivol, Bivol might be missing more than he usually does.
Lastley, Joe Smith and Pascal were both garbage that made look Bivol look like a God, but we all know that doesn't count for much.

Thank you for clarifying the Pac reference. Funny. He may be a top 30 all-timer.
I think we may be talking past each other a bit. Holyfield was probably juiced when he fought a probably clean Foreman, but we can never know for sure. I know A-Rod juiced, but I can only assume Sammy Sosa did.

People just love to assume THE WORST when they hate a fighter
NO ONE posts links to prove the bullshlt they try to pass off as fact
Why not talk about the days where testing was non existent ?
We all watched those fights and cheered on our guy. To this day, some of us will block out the possibility of that guy being on dope.
Perfect example is Holy. Of course it was all natural :lol1:
I'm shocked you haven't read a Pac fan referring to him as #3 ATG :lol1:
Even with a piss poor WW resume, his fans insists he's the man.
Everyone will look like a monster if all they fight are BUMS.
Mike Tyson, the perfect example, was cruising along just nicely until he ran into legit opponents.
Then it was time to make excuses.

Canelo: 19 opponents who have won a world title in their careers, not counting "Regular" or interim champions like Fielding or Trout
Bivol: 2 opponents who have won a world title in their careers
Oh, come on. I admitted I was being a jerk.
We can't talk about boxers before testing because it is just as easy to assume everyone was juicing and therefore the playing field was even. No one can accurately say, "Holyfield was juiced, but Bowe was clean." We'll never know one way or the other.
Sorry, I'm too dumb to get the #3 's reference.
Yes, Canelo has more fights against top-level fighters. But, how many top-level heavies had AJ blasted out before he ran afoul of Usyk? For me, Bivol looks to have the faster hands and feet, plus a natural size advantage and better lungs. Canelo is a defensive, counter-punching monster these days, though. I, for one, can't wait.

Remind me to pimp you our in nexxxixi
Do you think these boogeymen will change divs like Nelo and chase greatness or stay put like GGG and chase $$$$
I’m gonna bring stolen cars to your place… we both make money
He's better at beating better competition ?
People love to dwell on that one ultra minor clen ban. It was so minor, the SPORT really didn't want to give out the ban. The levels were so low, they almost missed it.
Let's talk about boxers from when testing wasn't a thing :lol1: !
Let's talk about a certain #3ATG refusing to submit to random blood tests, who EVERYONE (but me) LOVES

Yes he carrys the power up, is Bivol game we don't know that, is he even prime with only 19 bouts, this fight is a big jump up in class for Bivol I don't think he has the dynamics of Canelo at some point Canelos going to get to him, I see a some holes in Bivol Im sure Canelo would see them like the Grand Canyon.

Be here when that DOESNT happen
And give full credit that's something you guys never do.
I don't know who 'you guys' are. Just tonight, I stated several times that Josh Taylor, a boxer I follow and support, got a gift against Catterall. I call 'em like I see 'em.
