DAZN has no interest in paying for Kambosos Haney?

Good on DAZN. They already lost money and might even might get shut down in Boxing. With the way economy is right now, they got to be smart with their investments. They can't be wasting money on some punkass Devin Haney unless he is willing to accept what he deserves.

No surprise here. We ALL know Haney was gonna demand an astronomical purse and nobody's foolish enough to break the bank on him. This is why I have a problem with guys "in their own lane"...it sounds like a good thing until it's not. So, Haney makes crazy paydays on his own...against guys that nobody's really falling out about. I get it. The rubber meets the road when said fighter is introduced to REALITY and there's another fighter and promoter at the table with figures that makes sense. If he's averaging $3M per fight (or something close to that) and there's only $3M on the table to split between two fighters...what do you think is gonna happen? The fighter that's used to making those big paydays will have to take his ball and go home. The Mayweather plan blows up in a lot of fighters' faces nowadays. If you're not THE show like Floyd was, you're gonna have to fall in line with what's on the table or walk away. Devin needs to wish Kambosos the best and move on....it's better for boxing fans that way. Arum's gonna make Loma/Kambosos and things are gonna run SMOOTHLY! None of this funny stuff going on. I promise you, people won't even be thinking about a Haney/Kambosos fight once Loma/Kambosos is made.

Or would you want your money funneled into a Garcia Kambo fight where you can maybe get the million back and $78K in profits? Ita easy to be mad at the execs when it’s not your money. Im absolutely not surprised they want the Kambo vs Garcia fight. Garcia has a name, has a following, has skills, has power, lends himself to a potentially more exciting fight vs Kambo, is the better looking kid. The other is not a good looking kid, could potentially stink out the joint playing tag and running around the ring, has no following, no charisma, no personality and does nothing outside the ring but troll other fighters. On top of that has no long term contract signed. Obviously DAZN is pushing in the direction we see now. I've accepted for a long time that boxing is also a BUSINESS so it no longer upsets me when I see business moves made within the sport. So yeah it is their money and budgets so they have every right to want something more in return on their investments. Again DAZN have the numbers so they know best who bring the numbers on their APP and to no surprise Ryan is clearly more popular.

They're big into crickets, soccer and all these other sports Europe and the rest of world, Middle East, South America, Africa, China, etc. have a huge focus on. I think boxing has a place. That Tzou kid gets massive love and fills out his fights. They’re not Mexico or the US or the UK in terms of love for boxing, but when they have someone, they follow.

You guys aren't using your brains. Haney hasn't been strung along by anyone. Kambosis-Haney doesn't generate enough money/sub to be worth the investment to make for DAZN. Haney isn't even signed with DAZN right now. No matter who wins, each guy can take the money/titles and go somewhere else. Kambosis-Garia, on the other hand, does generate a lot of money/interest. Garcia is a huge draw. And signed with DAZN. As a result, DAZN is interested in making Kambosis-Garia. Meanwhile they'll keep trying to build Haney up, and, if Garcia wins, they can do a huge unification with both fighters on DAZN in the USA and generate crazy money/subs. If Garcia loses to Kambosis, they can still do Haney-Garcia for Haney's title and it's still a huge fight. This way, everyone wins. Including Haney.

Seems like the DAZN money is drying up. I think they’ll be out of the sport soon. It’s just not panned out like they hoped. DAZN realized Hearn has a boxer that has decent boxing skills. But they’re the kind of skills that don’t attract shit. Playing tag, running around the ring and hugging the shiiit out of your opponent the second you get put on Queer Street. DAZN knows Haney isn’t taking them anywhere. Garcia has a name. That fight could work in Australia. Over here, Kambosos will draw a few. Loma is barely known, Haney is completely unknown. The 'big fight in Australia' has never made sense to me. Those fights do so much better elsewhere. Put Kambosos up against some stiff. Aussies will still turn up.
