First time I’ve seen him fight, caught him tonight on the DAZN card.
Outclassed Cuadras who is a legit warrior with power, heart, experience and has been a champion.
I saw speed, amazing footwork, body work, jab and ring IQ. Only 22!
Congrats on the new champion, even though he’ll most likely vacate and move back down.
What impressed me the most was how he beat Cuadras. The times I had seen Bam fight before, he was obviously skilled but he could just blow through his competition.
Against Principe, he was up against a bigger guy who was very experienced and very game. His subtle use of angles and movement in close to mid range was really beautiful to watch.
Bam had some really nice defense too, he was blocking and deflecting alot of the leather Cuadras was throwing. He still got tagged because 1) Cuadras is no joke and 2) Bam was very intent on inflicting damage himself and stayed in the danger zone. .his chin looked sturdy too.
Fantastic performance.

I knew he could do it!! This was one of those fights where I was nervous for the first part and then thrilled to see Bam dominate Cuadras. That is not easy, and Bam beat Cuadras better than a lot of these other top level fights at that weight class.
I have had Bam in my top five favorite fighters for awhile now, definitely in my top new talents in the sport of boxing. I've been waiting years to see him him shine like this. Phenomenal boxer and a future P4P. He's the new Orlando Canizales!!
Yea that pivot uppercut was gorgeous. Kind of bummed the kid wants to move back down in weight.
At this age,he's clearly going to be undersized at 115 until he fills out so going to 112 isn't the worst move for his career. He did say if he was given the opportunity at the winner of choco vs Martinez, that he'd entertain it so we'll see.
Same here and I'm now a big of the little guy. That pivot uppercut he dropped cuadras with was beautiful asf. Like you said,he has it all and doing it against the size and power of a Cuadras was what made it equally impressive. Kids has a bright future.
