Seen a couple of interviews where Frank has said this.
I wasn't really aware of Dillian and Shalom working together besides Chris Kongo.
- Is it any more than just trying to wind up Eddie?
- Was Dillian seeing if Sky could win the purse for him?
- Will Dillian leave Matchroom?
- Is Shalom just trying his luck with something to try and persuade Dillian to join him?
- Also seen it alluded to that Shalom has paid part of the purse so that Eddie and DAZN don't get it, that seems very far fetched to me.
- Do they just work together and I don't know (lol)
Anyway, seems a strange comment from Frank. Could fuel some fun conspiracy theories.
So you think Dillian is going back there then?
It does look like DAZN will need to buy BT Sports sooner rather than later.
Eventually yeah, I like the concept of DAZN but I can’t see it even challenging Sky’s dominance in the UK.
DAZN should definitely try and purchase BT. Football drives the revenue in the UK and acquiring BT gets them selected EPL and full UCL rights.
Sky is simply a far better platform than DAZN.
The majority of Matchroom’s stable will end up back on Sky soon enough.
It reminds me of when Warren left Sky in 2011. He had the vast majority of big names, DeGale, Groves, Bellew, Cleverly, Burns, Mitchell, Brook, Saunders, Gavin, Chisora etc. Every single one of those guys ended up back on Sky sooner rather than later.
I hate Sky but they dominate the TV industry and especially Sports Broadcasting industry in this country. That isn’t going to change anytime soon, if ever.
