So the fact that boxing kills more people and turns more people into vegetables is actually a good thing? I'd say that MMA managing to be safer while also being more outwardly violent, having less rules and usually being more entertaining is actually a point in its favour.
And you still didnt answer the question, how can you identity that MMA is glorified street fighting if you dont actually understand any of the technical aspects of it?
I dont have a bias towards MMA at all. But fair enough I was talking specifically about the PPV buys without taking into account the live gate etc. Regardless, $45m spending will get you a lot more bang for your buck with the UFC than with Canelo.
Nuts in they face with panties oun.
Only justified business wise if hit platnium. Ufc on avg minus jake paul sales more than boxing theyre paying there fighters 20 cents on the dollar less in some cases. How does 3 fighters on a ppv card night in the biggest league combine for 32k how is you heavyweight champ whos a ko highlight real getting 600k plus max 1-2 dollar per ppv. Most 99% of fighters on roster get no ppv bonus hopes ngannou wins leaves sign bellator and help elevate that promotion plus get an aj or wilder box match
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder are so much more known than those 2 guys please man. You're bias is awful in some of your comments. Hence, why those 2 make like $200k a fight and Fury and Wilder make over $20 million a fight. There's a reason for that bro...
If we are going down this route you're gonna have to admit that Conor/Khabib did roughly as many buys as literally the entire Fury/Wilder trilogy combined, and both Canelo/GGG fights combined.
The pay = popularity argument doesnt add up either. So are you saying, for example, that the Charlo bros are bigger stars than the Diaz bros?
The "reason for that bro" is that MMA started in the 90s, didnt start to get popular until the second half of the 00s and is largely monopolized by one promotion which pretty much allows them to set the norms, free of the Ali Act. Nothing to do with popularity as MMA generates more consistent mainstream interest than boxing for the most part these days. Nor is to do with talent.
The fact that boxing fans are so obsessed with MMA pay in the first place is just bizarre tbh, like why is it relevant to your sport? I think its just more fuel for the superiority complex.
Nothing new there. UFC gets the golden share and only pay fighters leftovers if you aren't named McGregor, GSP and the other names. An average fighter get peanuts there. I wonder how they afford a training camp, proper food and supplements, medical bills and their other expenses fighting only 2 or 3 times a year with 15-20k .
Fury/Wilder 3 did less buys in the US than the Gaethje/Chandler PPV lol....

Not sure what you mean by that tbh...
They land a punch or kick they didn't think would land (you can actually see the ''holy shlt'' thought bubble above their head).
They then go wild AF. Forgetting all about that so called artistry you speak of.
Opportunistic fighting.
Most boxers would very easily get taken apart with kicks by kickboxers, muay thai guys or good MMA strikers. Usually via the low kick to the lead leg because its such an open target and without being conditioned to them most people will get put down fast.
You just dont have any appreciation for combat sports outside of boxing do you bro. I'm obviously not going to be able to win you over on this. So okay, if you say so, kicks are easy to avoid even if you dont train to avoid them, BJJ/wrestling is just mindless rolling on the floor, UFC guys are bums off the street, people only watch it because its "cheap" and the only fighters with any validity whatsoever are in boxing. Lol.
I don't like ''opportunistic fighting''..which is what MMA/UFC is.
All of that artistry is left in the gym. Come fight night, whatever happens happens.....and a punch will start things off (and usually end it).

Glorified street fighters.
Send in any guy whos allowed to kick and wrestle. Wouldn't even need some corny colored belt.
Boxing is where men go to fight and make money doing it :boxing:
Only a misfit is unable to avoid a fight ending kick.
Either a punch or some rolling around on the floor move ends a match.
Just admit it. MMA/UFC is not that artistic.

You're conveniently missing the part where nobody is going to stay in boxing range with a boxer, and the boxer doesnt have the ability to force them to do it, nor any real defence for the million other ways the fight could end.

A punch, at least for the most part, precipitates the ending. A punch that a boxer would either easily avoid and counter or laugh at.
So...yeah

Ah, this is the part where you bait me into admitting most MMA fights end with punches, which must mean boxing is better or something, right?

Sigh....
How do most of these fights end ?

Yes better technique when 75% of the techniques of MMA arent in boxing at all, makes sense. Obviously strategizing for a boxing match is totally the same as strategizing for an MMA fight too.
You're trolling the **** out of me here arent you. Good job.

Better chins
Better technique (fighting in general)
Better strategies
Smarter
More sturdy
More better everything
minus the kicking and rolling around on floor stuff
