AJs always been straight up so only believe it when it comes from him.
I can't fault him one bit he gets 15 million and potentially one fight to become undisputed. whilst if he fought Usyk he would have to beat which im not really sure he can , then face fury. It was a masterstroke but at the same time is disgusting. where is his pride in wanting to avenge his loss rather he will sit and watch another man make history because . It stinks as a fan of his but i get it......... He is a business man :bad:
Yes, it is a good business move and it’s probably the smartest move he can make at this time. I think he has a better chance of beating Usyk if he has more time to strategize and practise a new game plan, and maybe learn a few things with a new trainer/ coach. Also, Fury and Usyk will be beating each other up in the meantime, which might take a little more of their boxing life out of them. It’s a win - win for Joshua.
This must be a guinness world record for step aside money if true
Damn, I hope it is. Usyk vs Fury is the fight to make to determine the true HW kingpin
Joshua will get beaten against either of them anyway
it's a smart move if true, he gets a crack at becoming undisputed champ and a ton of $$$ for doing nothing
he probably thinks he's not ready to defeat Usyk yet and needs more time to prepare anyway
We can agree to disagree, but me personally, I'm not a fan of that mindset. But I'm glad thats as of right now, AJ has come out a denied these allegations.
Man, that’s a huge amount of money. Imagine having a job where you can step aside (take a break/ lay off) for a month and get paid a year’s salary! That’ would be a dream job. What Joshua will earn in this one step-aside is more than any of us will come close to earning if we lived 2 lifetimes. What fighter wouldn’t take that kind of step-aside money? I wonder how it would feel to have this kind of opportunity and privilege? I can’t fault Joshua for this but man, boxing is a f u c k e d up sport!

A lot of news outlets reporting AJ is "ready" to accept, although it could just be a rumour which has done the rounds. I guess if it goes ahead, AJ gets a huge sum, also gets in an interim fight, maybe vs Whyte...although I doubt the latter would want that. AJ v Wilder could even happen in the interim, and AJ would get paid very well for that!
- - What, the Irish Mafia MTK Global gonna pay AJ 40 mil step aside for Fury vs Usyk?
Hearn, AJ, and Usyk and the unified title belts in the driver's seat for their rematch. All the rest just paid MTK sychophants stirring shyte. Facts are 6 years Ring Champ Flubber with only a single Alabama peanut purse title defense vs Deyonce is now trying to duck his mandatory Whyte while Flubber gets fatter and more larded loaded in the queue to go off the rails again.
Would make sense. I think AJ would prefer the Fury fight anyway, and regardless who wins between Fury and Usyk, it would make the fight with AJ absolutely massive, probably worth double what the Usyk fight is now.
So AJ would get £15m step aside money and probably £40m for an undisputed fight. Win and he’s a 3 time champion, lose and he walks away a 2 time champion with a massive pile of cash.

That could be an interesting issue.
I think the belts would get fragmented after the undisputed fight. It’s always difficult to keep all the belts because of boxing politics. Maybe the WBC gets vacated after it. Then Whyte gets a vacant title fight or elevated. He’s entitled to a shot for the WBC belt, not any particular fighter. So In my opinion, both Fury’s and Usyk’s team know they’ll give up the WBC belt afterwards. that solves the Whyte issue.
The Saudis are apparently forcing the issue and paying for AJ and Whyte to step aside.
Whyte is apparently getting £5m.
Then they need to work out which of the two gets the winner first. That's the biggest hold up.
Fury/Usyk in Saudi. No rematch clause.
That could be an interesting issue.
Could be fake news. Something similar was reported last week by Daily Star. They claimed that AJ is asking for £15M but didn't reveal any sources. Now a few days later Gareth Davies is reporting that AJ has accepted £15M. It could be a case that the story from Daily Star got told to him incorrectly and now he's jumped to the conclusion that AJ has accepted the deal. We'll find out the real deal sooner or later.

Could be but I’m gonna say there’s no smoke without fire here.
Eddie’s tune has totally changed in the last few days, Before he was saying that Joshua versus Usuk is 100% next, now suddenly since a few days ago, they’re in talks about step aside.
Fury v Whyte purse bids keep being extended, although that’s partly down to Whyte being unhappy with the split, but maybe all sides are requesting it be pushed back while they get the Fury v Usyk deal over the line. Whyte is being pretty quiet recently.
AJ v Usyk is meant to be happening in April time, we’re nearing 9 weeks from April and no sign of a fight, location etc . A rematch of that size whether it’s a stadium fight in the UK or over in the Middle East would be announced way more in advance.
Whether it will definitely happen or not is anybody’s guess but I’d say as of last week, all signs are pointing towards it being a real possibility.

Wonder what ol' Dillian Whyte and his busted shoulder think of this possible development....

How is this f u cked up?
This is what the fans want. If this were Americans, it would be dragged out. Europeans are about finding out who the best is.
Look at Spence-Crawford, that should have been sorted out already.
‘Yeah, I guess ultimately, it’s better for the sport. It seems like a really expensive way and strange way to arrive at finally making the two champions be made to fight each other. That’s what’s f u ck’d up. The Spence and Crawford situation is a ridiculous mess too. Could you imagine basketball teams, hockey teams, tennis players and golfers being allowed to avoid facing their competition or getting paid step-aside money? :lol1:
If true, it’s INCREDIBLY smart on Joshua’s part. He isn’t beating Usyk with one training camp with additional members to his team. I doubt he can beat Usyk regardless. If he lets the champs fight for undisputed he can get a fight in the meantime to try his new team out in an actual fight prior to fighting the winner of Fury v Usky for all the marbles. This gives Joshua an actual chance to improve. We’ve all seen a fighter immediately revert to their normal fighting style as soon as the fight gets tough even with a new trainer. They tend to look lost. Joshua would give himself a better shot at avoiding that fate.
