Rickey was one of my favorite fighters in recent memory a tough guy, he was the man in the paulie fight, and I remember him being undefeated when he faced off against mayweather a whole division above him. If he would of beat both of them and retired undefeated, would he be considered the UK's GOAT, I'm not as familiar with the UK's boxing history as much, who's the considered top 3 over there?
Well, he'd have a good case of being the UK GOAT boxer beating those two, certainly the most popular ever
A victory over Floyd would have been the most impressive, specially considering the fight didn't take place at Hatton's optimal weight of 140
140 has never been Rickys optimal fighting weight, 153 was his best fighting weight so he said in his book.
Then go look at Ricky beating KT, 153 ,,,,,,, what weight was Ricky fighting Floyd, well what do you know its 153, and Floyd was 151, fight night.
Ricky was one of the greatest fighters of that era, I was truly amazed that Floyd took him apart so easy. Even Floyd knew Ricky was one of the more special fighters he beat, afterwards he said I see why they call him the hitman.
What was Hatton's best win....BESIDES Kostya
Ricky got lucky against a 36 year old inactive Tszyu, when a prime Kostya would have demolished him easily, so he appeared better than he was. He was pretty good but not close to great.

Nah bud, name a guy with an absurd resume folks don't do exactly what you just did with.
Similar response had I said Marciano the GOAT period, right? No, x old, y hype, and z was alright but is small alone.
Any if I bring Danny Jew into it I get the same
If I bring Theo into it I get the same.
Too bad for youse lot it's guys like me who write those books. That's why on fan lists you hardly see Marciano and on historian lists he tends to be a top five. Huge disconnect in how **** is handled and y'all's tears ain't as valid as you think.
What I'm saying is had Hatton got an absurd resume you'd pick another Brit to claim did better because X was old, Y was hype, and Z was alright but small by itself. Just like literally any name I ever highlight for their absurd career.
Mayweather, GOAT? X was old, Y was hype, and Z was alright but not enough, ennit? Or shall I link every May thread to prove May always has constant critics who say the same ****, just like Marciano, Mendoza, Theaganese, and Slappy.
Honestly, would consider any criticism more than those. They're cliche and I can't speak about anyone who was so amazing their record stands out in any era period without the same, exact, criticism. So when I read it, this number; ain't just for provocation. Roll my eyes at that ****.
The only thing absurd about Cazalghe's resume is the fact he had over 20 world title fights and has only 3 wins over fighters ranked in the Top 5.
I think that's a no brainer especially considering both guys were close to their prime when they Fought.
The real question is how high would get ranked at his weight class

1. Tyson Fury (unbeaten), 2. Joe Calzaghe (unbeaten), 3. Lennox Lewis (lost 3 - when Rahman rag-dolled him during the pre-fight build up for 2, I gave him the win for that), 4. Nash Out (unbeaten warrior), 5. Prince Naseem Hamed (1 severe beating). Nash out.
if there had been two ricky hattons this goal might have been attainable...like matt damon and greg kinnear boxing in "stuck on you"...unfortunately theres only one ricky fatton
