Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, 5'8" tall, 70.5" reach, 200 to 210 lb. "The Gypsy King" Tyson Fury, 6'9" tall, 85" reach, 260-265 lb. The Lineal Heavyweight title on the line. Who wins?
What's this weird obsession with height. For starters, Fury is not 6 ft 9 and Mike Tyson was not 5 ft 8 (Tyson is mentioned in a post, and I'm not going into the Canelo nonsense). Fury is 6 ft 7 imo, and in the view of those I know who have met him, and Mike Tyson, was 5 ft 11 in his prime, and I know several people who state that to be his size, not that it matters, HW is HW, and they all have the power to knock people out (the good ones) I'm sure in fifty years time, people will reduce Tyson's height even further to over glorify him, and say he was 5 ft 2. Nash out.
On paper, maybe. There are few fights out there in which Canelo would be the genuine underdog. Also, consider; prime Mike Tyson: 5'8.3" and 216 lb. Canelo at Heavyweight is not beyond the realms of possibility, he isn't far off Heavyweight at the first bell these days.
Mike Tyson didn't fight anybody as big as Fury closest he come was Eddie Richardson who was 6'6 and nowhere near as good as Fury. As much as i love Tyson everytime he stepped up to elite level he lost too he wouldn't beat Fury neither would Canelo.
Come on mate you can't be serious Fury would destroy Canelo obviously the reach and height difference is absolutely insane.
