He has 6 fights against probable, possible, or already, HOFers on his resume. All of them were over the age of 35 when the fight took place, while he himself is not that old. Have others done it before, yes. But as of recent, not as often. It helped him build his name, it helped him build his career, but it has also been noted that most of the big wins he has were against fighters who were aged. Moreso than the others you listed. Someone asked me to list them, i did. It doesnt mean he isnt the best right now (he is). It doesnt mean he isnt an atg (he is). It just means when evaluating his career in a historical perspective we need to acknowledge that fact that i have stated, and use the information accordingly. We do the same when we look at Marcianos win over Louis, or Holmes over Ali. There us no need to get defensive and deflect. I like and respect Canelo as well, but we cant be disingenuous or biased in evaluations. When Alvarez decides to retire from the sport and historians want to evaluate his career some of those “old” fighters on his resume won’t even be mentioned or do much for his legacy. Beterbiev and Bivol have been champions in the same weight division for years now, yet everyone is crying about Canelo. Are Beterbiev and Bivol going to fight in 2022? All the punchers Canelo has fought looked terrible their previous fight. GGG - arguably lost to Jacobs. Many still thought he beat Canelo. Kovalev - nearly KTFO'd by Yarde and Canelo still required a rehydration clause. Won 5 rounds against Canelo. Callum Smith - got a robbery decision against journeyman John Ryder. I don't expect him to fight Beterbiev next as he looked good against Marcus Browne and am honestly shocked he didn't rematch GGG after the Derevyanchenko fight. I was one of those guys and can admit it. I actually thought Canelo would get severely hurt in the first GGG fight. I know I'm a minority in this, but I thought Canelo lost the Jacobs fight. The fight is going to happen but realistically not till the end of 2023. Canelo is going to end up fighting the winner of Bivol/Betervieb as his last big challenge and after that probably end up fighting twice more in 2024 before calling it quits Not sure on the timescale but I could see that scenerio playing out. If beterbiev unifies with Smith, as was originally mooted when Smith won the title, I could see canelo fighting the winner of that. Beterbievs style might actually suit canelo and make for a great fight

AND you inconsistent critics said he would weightdrain GGG to 155lbs. You were wrong every single time.
