Lol, if Canelo wants to beat Beterbiev, he must outbox him without any risk in trading shots. Canelo`s chin seems to be good, but it was never tested by a puncher like Artur is.
Only id.iots think Canelo can fight Beterbiev the same way he fought Saunders or Plant.
Canelo does not have the cardio to out box Beterbiev for 12 rounds, he always fades. He will never fight him though. When was the last time he took a legit serious risky fight? GGG? He just goes after easy fights now where he is a clear favorite. Will never fight real threats like Beterbiev or Benavidez. I think he fights bivol though.
Yeah but I’m talking about him vs Canelo who is shorter and lighter, so I’m echoing your point that a skilled fighter can overcome size disadvantages. There’s plenty of people saying that Beterbiev is just too big and strong for Canelo. Nobody saying he his more skilled, or faster etc. My point is Beterbiev isn’t so big, tall, and with such a long reach that he necessarily beats a more skilled fighter in Canelo on his physical advantages alone. I’m not saying that Beterbiev isn’t beastly, he could beat guys much bigger than himself I’m sure. I’m just saying his physical attributes of height and weight over Canelo in my humble opinion are not a bridge too far. It’s not like he’s 6’2 or rehydrates to 200lbs in there. I’m Canadian so I’m a fan of course, but I still call it like I see it. Artur pushes forward all day, that’s his strength. He doesn’t do anything better than Canelo skill wise though. I just meant to say for all those that think that Artur is “So Big” compared to Canelo that he dominates on that factor alone I don’t see that size advantage. I should have been more clear. Eric Morales is my favourite fighter and he never looked like anything but he always fought his heart out.
Yea, I’m not sure how two people who agree, disagreed. Morales was one of my favs too.

Huge former Canelo fan here. I didn't care about his Euro tour or Caleb Plant. Beterbiev is a branch too far. If he can beat him in style, he can retire as a memorable boxer, young. The BS cruiser experiment doesn't do anything for me.
Canelo would be cautious as he did with Golovkin. Beterbiev’s hands are so fkin heavy that he is a type of puncher who hurts opponents just by touching them.
Canelo is going to have to outbox this guy to a decision and it’s not going to be easy.
Stand in front of him in a ring with boxing gloves on AND THEN talk to me why his size DONT MATTER.
Ive met and shook hands with Manny Pacquiao. He’s about 5:04. Tiny, petite, little man. I’m 5:09 and would of been in his weight class. I KNOW BETTER then to think his little size means sheeit. He’d kill me. Probably because I HAVE boxed smaller men who had BIG punches. It’s shocking but they do exist.

You ever think of getting into politics? U know nothing and never let that stop u.

Tyson beat a bunch of inferior taller men.
When he stepped up, he was stepped on.
Holy is not that small
Toney lost plenty to bigger guys
Pac feasted on bigger men who were shot or had an *

''A random guy with little to no fighting experience will get crushed the lamest woman boxer. Means nothing.
Reverse it. You're you and some pint sized goofball wants to fight you. Who'd win ?
A guy who knows how to fight will usually beat the smaller man who also knows how to fight.''

Tell that to Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Pac & James Toney.
I can bet my entire worth that TernceBudCharlo will call Bivol and Beterbiev bums when Canelo beats them.
Just a moronic hateful fuck that doesn't have anything better to do than to talk shit about fighters that aren't Crawford, or worse, that are esteemed higher than Crawford in the boxing community.
You're a liar, I gave Canelo credit for his win over Saunders, I put him back as p4p #1 after that fight, but then put Bud back there after he beat Porter

Everyone talks about Beterbiev's perfect KO record but that is not his best asset. Most won't even know what makes him so good even as robotic he looks at times.
It's his boxing brain that is moulded through all that amateur experience.

The guy is actually pretty skilled, he has a great combos when he lets his hands go.
Just walks him down and beats his ass like he's Callum Smith? :lol1::lol1:
Callum Smith may not be the best boxer but he can crack. Id def argue Smith has a better 1 punch than Beterbeiv. Beterbiev is like the big version of Isaac Cruz.
Ive heard great arguments for any number of scenarios on this thread... Proof that the members here, when not digressing really can analyze a match up lol. One factor for me would be age. How much longer can Beterbiev fight like he does hitting 40?
Chollo talks about Canelo's ability to take it to a puncher... His skills, to which I would add, his defensive skills... Would he make Beterbiev look ordinary?
Rexy talks about the insane punching power of Beterbiev... heavy hands, "arm punches" the guy's power is off the charts... To which I would add, at supermiddle to Cruiser you have some of the most insane punchers: Julian J, Foster, etc... Is Canelo's power up to snuff to deal with a puncher at those weights? Kovalev left that question unanswered lol...
I see this fight as one guy would dominate. One scenario would have everyone palmn slapping their head: Either Beterbiev would look very ordinary against a multifaceted Canelo, or Canelo would obviously be in trouble dealing with a bona fide heavy handed, puncher with some weight to him...
I would incline towards the first scenario, with Canelo dominating... But the second would not suprise me. As the late great Martial Arts writer Robert Smith once wrote:
"The dandy could do no wrong as he bloodied up the crude slugger, claret pouring out all the holes, and a puch that had radar...just could not miss... and on it went and then... Boom! like a mousetrap closing the one shot came and the Dandy woke up a bit later not knowing quite what happened."
A puncher will usually lose to a boxer by the law of averages... especially in a 12 round affair. BUT the puncher only has to get it right once. And while Canelo is also a hell of a puncher, Beterbiev has that insane heavy handed power... Canelo also has a great chin... and on we can go lol.
