As we all know, the viewership for all television programming across the board has been down for a while and will continue to dwindle as many people use their TVs to watch youtube and netflix instead.
With the decline of TV, where do you guys see the future of boxing? Eddie Hearn was saying it is DAZN, and it may have well been, but the problem is how do you market an app and how do you get exposure if your fights are behind a paywall subscription service?
Where do we go in the future? Could it be livestreamed on a platform such as YouTube or something? I honestly have no clue, I know TV is on the decline but in my mind, it is still the only way forward, you cannot compete with free exposure and nothing beats watching scheduled boxing programming on the TV, it is traditional, it is what I love.
Until theres less belts, promotional bullsh.it and fighters actually being FORCED to fight the best then the future of boxing is dim. Its a fawking shame that after all these years it still cant get right. I remember most recently when the wbo came into the picture and was looked at as the ugly stepchild. Imho, therell be another belt org created b4 boxing rights itself.
