There seems to be some who think he's slipping and there are some who think Lomachenko is still in his prime based on his last two performances. What does Boxingscene think?
That would be dope if he beat all those people, since Loma's biggest haters say he's somehow all of them.
That being said, you think that's ATG-worthy stuff? who tf has Tank or Shakur ever beaten? Haney? HOF worthy stuff for sure though as he'd be schooling fighters in their prime (Kambosos, Tank) and likely future p4p fighters like Haney and Shakur
That's a really good point. It would have to be contingent of what those guys do later on in their career. You know? I've seen great fighters criticized based on their competition, even thought their opponents were really good, simply because they never went on after that loss to do something great. Canelo is a good example of a win that aged well for Floyd. So these wins, if they were to happen, would require those guys to go on to have great careers. If they don't do that, then it might not qualify. That's how I'm thinking about it.
I don’t think I saw any slipping. In fact he looked better than I thought he would. Commey seems like a good man and I like him as much as all you other boxing fans, but I would have preferred to see Loma show more vitriol and ruthlessness when he had him hurt. I don’t think I saw any sign of Loma slipping but he’d better not display empathy for his opponents while he’s in the ring fighting them. I don’t know if that was the reason he laid off Commey, but it had better not be, if he wants to be at his absolute best.
Yeah. He liked Commey. But I guarantee you that he will not be so kind to Kambosos, Haney or Tank. He'll brutalize them if he gets the chance. Next time he takes it easy on someone, you'll be able to tell because he'll be laughing and joking around in the stare offs. If he does that, then we'll see Loma the Merciful. Otherwise, we'll see Vasyl the Merciless.
Yeah. I agree with everyone here. I saw no slippage, at all. Yet, I hear some people claiming they've seen some slipping, primarily based on the fact that he didn't put Commey away. That reasoning makes no sense to me. I think we have a couple of years left of prime Loma, so I want to see these fights being made.
I want:
George Kambosos Jr., then
Devon Haney, then
Gervonta Davis, then
Shakur Stevenson
The question then becomes: If Loma beats all of these guys, does that make him an ATG?
(BTW: I'd like to see the Teofimo Lopez rematch, but I believe we all know that's never going to happen now. Loma wants it but does Teofimo want it? I'd have to believe he doesn't.)

I wouldn’t say he’s slipping. I think he is a small lightweight in a division packed with large lightweights. There’s more money at 135, so he’ll stay there to pursue undisputed. He has a tough road ahead of him.
Man seriously? Look at what he did against Nakatami and he took the foot off the gas for Commey.
All these 2 fights showed me was that he Wasnt bull****ting about his shoulder injury coming into the Lopez fight. He had surgery a few days after the fight and we actually saw that as opposed to when Manny said he had a torn shoulder vs Floyd but never showed any proof or hospital visit to nurse that shoulder
no you chose not to believe he had shoulder surgery. it was well documented.

Dr. Neal ElAttrache, a famed orthopedic surgeon who performed the 90-minute procedure to repair Pacquiao's torn rotator cuff, said he could not be "more pleased with the results." It was an outpatient surgery, so Pacquiao will not stay overnight.

Not slipping he's just fighting against fighters that are bigger and stronger than him. I thought he looked better against Commey than he did against Campbell, Linares, Pedraza who I put on a similar level as Commey. He still landed hundreds of shots against all these guys he just don't have heavy enough hand at 135 to deter these people from standing in the pocket and fighting wth him.
