WBO very likely to order 135 mandatory after Lomachenko vs Comey per Bob Arum

That works. I personally believe Lomachenko is the only one that will actually go to Australia for the fight. At this stage of his career he has nothing to lose at 135. Can always move back down. Haney-Kambosis has SD written all over it. Haney can say he’d fight in Oz, but his team would be stupid to let him take that fight. So would Tanks and Garcia’s. I see the handlers for all three trying to find the dollar figure to get Kambosis to fight them in Vegas.

Kambosis might lose the belts by then. then the Haney fight has to be signed quickly because the WBO is not going to wait long before ordering the fight after saturday i think. The WBO will probably order the fight before Hearn has made the Haney fight.

It will happen because Hearn will offer a hell of a lot more money than Top Rank would. Here is also one important thing that negates the mandatory being called: None of the other sanctioning bodies recognize the franchise champ as the real WBC champ. According the WBO, IBF, and WBA, Devin Haney is the real and only WBC champion. It is a unification bout. Unifications trump mandatories especially when the mandatory has just been ordered. The WBO would let the fight happen regardless of their mandatory. If Kambosos is offered way more money to fight Haney, and if the fight is in Australia, then that will happen next. It still requires Kambosos to willingly accept the fight. Kambosos has said that he is waiting to make his decision, so he has agreed to nothing. And if Arum can market the fight correctly and have several networks broadcast that fight globally (heck, he might make it a PPV fight too), then you know that the fight will make a TREMENDOUS amount of money globally. And if that's the case, it goes without saying that he'll be able to pay Kambosos more than Matchroom and DAZN.
