Ok, hear me out. Cotto's best wins are Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, and Martinez. Now, most of these guys were either past their prime or not as great as they seemed. He couldn't even put Pauli Malignaggi away for Christ's sake. Now, Crawford became undisputed at 140 and actually defeated better competition than Cotto Did. Spence has big wins on Lamont Peterson, A fresher Kell Brook, Porter, and Danny Garcia. When comparing the resumes and skillsets, it is clear as day that Crawford and Spence are better than Cotto and deserve to be Hall of Famers and ATGs. Cotto never rose to the occasion and defeated ATGS in their primes (Manny and Floyd). In my opinion, if you have Cotto as a ATG, you have to have Spence and Crawford there. I would even go as far as to say that Porter is better than anyone Cotto has ever faced. Any thoughts?

 Don't know where do you get that Cotto is an ATG. He fought and beat good competition but lost the meaningful fights that would gave him some consideration to be one.
Cotto isn’t an ATG. He is a first ballot HFamer. Cotto fought almost everybody of his era and did so without any suspected PED use. He was also very business minded and conducted himself in a professional manner. He is, indeed, a rare breed of prizefighter
He would be just another Ugas in this era.
Miguel Cotto is a LIVING LEGEND who should not be punished for the fact that he lost to a cheating Margarito, a weight bully Canelo Alvarez, and a catchweight pushing Manny Pacquiao. His first legitimate loss was to Mayweather and at that point he was just old and beat up.
Borderline but it's pretty safe to assume he will be
Based on what wins? I don’t think Spence or Crawford are locks for the hall at the moment. They can get in but neither is currently a first ballot hof vote.
Shawn Porter is better than everyone on Cottos resume
Hahahaha ok. Now this thread makes sense. I like Porter but holy shit that’s funny. Porter has defeated monsters such as an inactive Danny Garcia, a far past his prime Paulie, the beastly Alfonzo Gomez, and the world better Berto. Also, took a loss to Brook and a loss to part-time. You’re either a troll or you’re new.
Gamboa beat Darleys Perez at lightweight in 2013 (Perez's first loss, too). Perez won the WBA lightweight title in 2015. Gamboa was a lightweight at the time and so was Crawford. Get over it.
Undefeated Gamboa at lightweight was a good win. Period.
What is the best win of Pérez?.
Gamboa was not a natural 135 and he did nothing in 135.
Period.
In 126 and 130 Gamboa was legit, not in 135.
Thats not a good win.
There was much difference in weight and height.

He was a unified champion at featherweight and had wins over Orlando Salido, Daniel Ponce de Leon, and Darleys Perez. Taking his 0 was a good win for Crawford and anyone who pretends otherwise is engaging in revisionist history.
Interim titles are meaningless overall; I just mentioned it to show that he had already fought in the division. It's not like Crawford hauled him up to that weight class just for the fight.

Interim titlist? Lol.
Undefeated against B fighters?

Correction bro. Cotto did beat Mosely. One of if not his top win.
That is his top win, an under-rated win. Other than the victory over the disgraced Margarito Mosley didn't do much. The other three their careers continued at a high level.
Crawford fought Gamboa at lightwight while Gamboa was a reigning and undefeated interim titlist in that division
Interim titlist? Lol.
Undefeated against B fighters?
People.
Did you watch the fight of Gamboa vs Crawford?
Man, Gamboa was landing and winning several rounds in the first part of the fight.
Imagine Cotto landing those shots in Crawford?
Cotto vs Spence or Crawford are 50/50 fight.
People are crazy overhyping Spence or Crawford, they did not do anything special , except beat b or C class fighters in his division.
Cotto lived in era of Mayweather and Pacquiao. When he moved up, Canelo was there for him.
Spence and Crawford have no road blocks, they are only road blocks for each other. There are also no elite guys around at 154. And Ugas beat old version Pacquiao for them.
Not a fair comparison. Cotto would destroy all guys on Spence`s or Crawford`s resume.
Easily...
Those names are nothing special, Mikey and Gamboa were too small for Spence or Crawford.
Crawford fought Gamboa at lightwight while Gamboa was a reigning and undefeated interim titlist in that division
No, not necessarily.
The problem is, Spence's champ list is: Algieri, Brook, Peterson, Mikey G, Porter, Danny G. Great list of names, but it's only six dudes long. He's a unified welterweight champion but he's never fought in any other divisions and he's never been a lineal champion. He has done great so far but he has a long way to go before he catches Cotto.
Crawford's champ list: Burns, Gamboa, Beltran, Postol, Indongo, Horn, Khan, Brook, Porter. Again, great list. But it's 9 guys long.
Crawford does have a better overall resume than Spence, though:
WBO/Ring/Lineal 135
WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO/Ring/Lineal Undisputed 140
WBO 147
Three divisions, two lineal, one undisputed is great.
Cotto just did it for a lot longer in more divisions. Crawford and Spence can catch him but they haven't yet.
Those names are nothing special, Mikey and Gamboa were too small for Spence or Crawford.
Who said that Cotto is an ATG, he lost all his meaningful fights that would had propelled him to that status. He lost against Pac, Moseley and Canelo, he simply couldn't get over the hump.
Correction bro. Cotto did beat Mosely. One of if not his top win.
Cotto is a HOFer not an ATG, so are Spence and Crawford.
Your biased against Cotto is coming out in this post, the paulie comment for example has no context, and there is plenty of context behind that performance and result. Its like you weren't watching boxing back then.
Cotto was not a fighter to be easily trifled with, he would beat most of the guys of today, I don't think he would beat Spence or Crawford but if you think either would have an easy time with him you are sorely mistaken, he would beat most of everyone else.
Spence is a HOF’er?
