Jab and clinch!” to escape the round. But instead he gave up on his son because he likely felt he couldn’t tell him anything to get him out of that predicament. You don’t give up on your guys in war because you ran out of ideas. But that’s what Kenny did and I will make the assumption he is going to look back on it and regret it deeply. I didn't notice the adjustments. Maybe he waited 10 seconds before rushing in and throwing wild n wide hooks sometimes ? But Daddy did Shawn wrong. Shawn talked at the press con like a decent son and fighter but when they are away from the cameras, you better believe Daddy is hearing some other shlt. I wouldn’t say that but he definitely c-blocked his son from glory. boxing is one of the few competitions where there is glory in defeat and Kenny stole that greatness from his son. what was developing into a all time classic got prematurely ended because of his own feeling of inadequacy as a coach. He quit on his son as a coach and as a result made Porter lose a fight that he could have saw to 12 rounds.

That was one of the most classless, despicable things I've seen in a boxing ring. Admitted that he stopped it to prove a point and then proceeded to humiliate Shawn on TV, and then went out of his was to remind people that Shawn was just going to take it and still have breakfast with him tomorrow. Shawn needs a new trainer. Yeah I didn't like how that went down, he needs to take a backseat to his son it is him fighting, keep that stuff for the kitchen table, after Shawn gave his all it wasn't right to spray that to the world, he needs to realise who is the man here, I bet its Shawn that paid for all that bling Kenny wears, this is what I don't like a father-son deals, dad doesn't feel right not being the leader of the show, they need to sit back like Lomas father and let the son have all the glow.

I remember that press conference that Broner had with Shawn Porter. Broner was right on the money about Kenny Porter. Shawn is too nice to kick him to the curb. He can still be your dad, but get rid of him as your trainer.

Kenny's not even a real world level trainer, yet is desperate to be the star of the show. Dude literally tries to c-block his own son and make everything about himself. I agree, but tonight he may have saved a life!
