The Cotto that Pac wouldn't fight would have every answer. Bud wants to switch it up ? So will Cotto. Bud wants to trade ? Cotrto sure as hell can do that as well. Cotto is a better all round boxer.

Prime or not, Cotto was always chinny. I do hate to say it because Crawford has never fought anyone on Cotto's level at Welterweight until today. But names aside. If you just mention both boxer's strengths and weaknesses and told me x guy didn't fight anyone good at 147 but y guy has? I'm going to give x the benefit of the doubt because he has knockout power and y guy is chinny. Crawford probably beats Cotto up. Gets him wobbly a few times and downs him probably twice.

Pre plaster wrap Margacheatp Cotto outworks and beats Crawford. After that Bud probably has the advantages.

Cotto’s jab and body punching would do a number on him. This fight would all depend on if Cotto can take enough of Crawford’s power to last the full 12 rounds. otherwise, I think it’s a 50-50 fight.

I think 140 Cotto had a better chance. Let's not forget he had a close fight with Shane but then again Shane was still good to go at the time. I feel like Crawford would stop post plaster Cotto... But that body punching bully version I would have to lean towards for the W. Crawford is so frustrating.. I feel like he is a beast but his resume is trash and he seems to not care

Prime Cotto at 147 was extremely hard to outbox and outfight, he was an animal. You literally had to beat him into submission. Even Floyd had to up his volume to contain him. Trout was able to do it at 154 against a shopworn Cotto but that’s another story. Crawford is still a big mystery at 147 with his weak opposition. Porter fight gives us a better idea but I still see a prime Cotto breaking him down eventually in the hypothetical realm.

It would be a 12 rd BOXING chess match. Hopefully nobody get's hurt tho (For their sake) because BOTH of these fighters smell blood & go for the KILL. I'd favor Cotto.
