Boxing fans like to say divisions such as 154, 168, or basically any of the tweener divisions are historically weak, but why are we acting like 160 ain't weak too?
Look at the longest reigning champs on that division: Hagler, GGG, Hopkins, Monzon. Notice their resumes at 160? Most, if not all of their most notable wins are from fighters coming up in weight.
Hopkins' legend grew because he left middleweight. Even fighters like Roy Jones left that division too.
Can we stop acting like 168 is a hot division? With champions like Calzaghe, ward, Ottke?
168 is a relatively new weight it doesn't have a deep history like 160 - 175, if they were all there at the same time for as long, 168 would have just as many superstars pass through it as did 160 175.
