Remember he said recently that Canelo should tell everyone looking for a fight to fight each other if they want the payday
I'll post it here also
Canelo going to CW will not affect the futures of anyone from 160-175. If he does in fact go up, he will be completely out of those weight divisions. There is no more excuses as to why Charlo/Benavidez/Andrade and Bivol/Beterbiev/Zurdo/Smith should all not be fighting each other.
Explain how him going up will hold anything up? As far as I know, when you leave a division, you vacate those belts. So that shouldn't be an issue.
I think we all know why there hating and it has nothing to do with boxing.
LOL, they're hating because they were thinking Charlo was a shoo-in for Canelo next. LOL They were talking about Canelo/Charlo up next in Houston, on PBC PPV.
Canelo shut that sh.it down.
There are no fighters around 154-168 that has any momentum. They all fighting second tier fighter waiting for the phone to ring with an offer to fight Canelo. Let them fight amongst each other to make the match up more attractive. None of those fighters are in a collision course with Canelo besides just calling his name out. That jump to CW is huge even though it is not the best guy in the division but it is a big lefty fighter that can punch. GGG has done nothing and is older, Benavides can't even make the weight and I think the real challenges for Canelo is ant LHW.
Munguía vs Andrade
Bivol vs Zurdo
Charlo vs Benavidez
Beterbiev vs Smith
Maybe we can get these fights now? instead of each fighter from 168-175 just waiting on Canelo.
True. These dudes waiting around for that Canelo lotto ticket. Canelo is right to bypass all of them so they can now fight each other.

Breadman still buying into the narrative that Canelo has any interest in fighting these guys. It doesn't matter who fights who, Canelo is more interested in padding his legacy with meaningless achievements.
Makabu might not be the best cruiser out there and ain't on the level of a Dorticos or Breeds but he's an absolutely legit fighter with real power, and definitely a top 5 cruiser. Can't understand why anyone would fault this one. :dunno:
Idk how people are hating on this. He fought THE guy at middleweight. Then he went up and cleaned out all the supermiddle champs and beat Kovalev at light heavy (who at the time was still top 1-2 and many thought was a BIG ask). Now he’s going up to Cruiser to fight a champion there.
Who else that is currently active and above lightweight that has done as much as him? Not to mention starting at welter and going up to cruiserweight is a HUGE chasm in weight and well above his natural fighting weight.
Canelo reached the Mayweather-level stage of his career. He’s gonna fight whoever the f he wants.
Polarizing guy. Went from a complete fraud - gifted a title, defended against the likes of elderly Cintron and Alfonso Gomez, made you his own weight class to avoid GGG - to arguably the P4P #1 in the sport.
He’s gonna do what he wants now. Complain all ya want.
Its not all the same. If Charlo/bumslavidez wanted to challenge mukabu they could have & they are huge compared to Canelo:kabong:
That's where you're completely wrong. If you look at it from the fighters' self-interests, which would be a mistake but most people fall for that, Canelo is big money incentive for Mukabu to fight Canelo, not so with Charlo and Benavidez. Plus if they fought him and beat him, then he wouldn't be available for Canelo to fight which makes Boxing more money than if they fought him.
But looking a level deeper, IMO everyone in Boxing does what makes Boxing the most money, not themselves personally. Inside the ring, look how the cash cow of boxing (Floyd, then Canelo) has not lost a single time in about 15 years since becoming the cash cow. Yes they're good but really, in a sport where anything can happen, and anyone can be knocked out by any punch if it lands right, neither of them lost once in 15 years? Talk about good luck for the financial interests of Boxing! What great luck! In fact they hardly ever take a scratch. And you can look at it outside the ring as well. Look how Benavidez tested positive for cocaine just in time to allow Canelo a belt to fight for at 168. Convenient stuff like this happens constantly in boxing. Look how GGG stepped aside to let Canelo vs Cotto happen, without any guarantee in writing to get the winner immediately, and then when he finally did face him twice, underperformed everyone's expectations and actually springboarded Canelo to greater financial stardom for Boxing, rather than putting a stop to the money train by beating Canelo convincingly twice and maybe knocking him out. Then Kovalev had the power to really hurt Canelo at 175 but he didn't come close to doing that either. The money train rolled on.
So yeah, Canelo is the cash cow. He will get all the nice opportunities, no one else. Just like Mayweather and Pacquiao got any opponent they wanted, not Margarito, Paul Williams, etc. They were more popular. They made the sport more money. That's what it is about. Dmitry Bivol is the most all around talented boxer from 160 to 175, and he barely fights at all because he doesn't sell tickets. Beterbiev is right there with him, but he also barely fights, for the same reason.
There's no question, beating those guys at 175 is a better legacy win than beating Makabu at cruiserweight. So if Canelo fights for legacy, he'd fight them first. But he doesn't. Makabu is a placeholder to keep stalling the public and making some money while marinating fights with bigger revenue potential like the biggest names at 160 - 175.
Benavidez needs to stop calling Charlo a pussy and move to LW to get something Canelo wants. Every second he doesn't, he knows he's not gonna get selected.
Who cares if Canelo is smart, he's a boxer who is not fighting the best prime boxers. So he's doing the same thing Breadman accuses others at 160-175 of doing. It's all the same. Makabu sucks.
