joe beat plenty of others too. joe was champion for 10 years, defended it 20 times and just because canelo (who has been exposed at lower weight classes) beats a few guys who arent very good at all, hes now better than joe? or let me guess, you started watching boxing in last couple of years and never saw joe in his prime
joe in his prime beat nobody. He has 2 hall of famers on his resume and they were both 40 years old.
His resume is filled with nobodies. Lets name some. Tocker pudwill? Mario veit? Kabary salem? Evans ashira? Mger mkrtchyan? Those are the 5 guys he beat going into the lacy fight? Stop me when you see somebody from joe prime that makes joe resume legit?
Miss me with joe calzaghe. Biggest british hypejob ever.
I dont see no golovkin, kovalev, cotto, lara type fighters on joe resume. No multiple class champions on joe resume. No unified champions on joe resume.
But 20 defenses right? Gtfoh
Wrong!!!
Go look at Jones 168 resume it’s full of nobodies
44-0 James Toney who was ranked #2 P4P in the world is a nobody? :lol1:
Byrd was ranked top 10 Pazienza was ranked top 5, Lucas was a future champ at 168. All solid wins.
You must be either an alt or a newer fan that doesn’t know his history.
If we’re talking H2H…
Roy schools him. Toney and Ward outpoint him. Canelo probably beats Joe.
If we’re talking achievement, only Joe accomplished more at 168 than Canelo has.
- -OK, U dumminess here for the hustle of wagers is it?
I never wager on any sport much less a corrupt one like boxing, and never once played or wanted to play some infantile boxing video, so U just exposed U juvenile era.
So, like I asked, what grade U get kicked out of this year, the Dunce grade?
Just like i thought.
Vegas is the boxing capitol due to wagers on that corrupt sport. Judges wont be necessary in a canelo vs beterbiev fight since beterbiev is the big bad boogeyman
you listed a load of bums. they said calzaghe couldnt hold up to lacys power and he boxed rings round him. someone with slow feet like canelo would be bread and butter for 'the pride of wales', beautiful style match up for joe. joe calzaghe was no caleb plant i can tell u that
Man please. Yall only claim to fame is jeff lacy. Mention calzaghe and yall run to lacy. Lacy didnt beat anybody before or after calzaghe. He was a hypejob. Canelo has been here a decade.
canelo stops joe
Canelo loses to all of them.
Beating Plant doesn`t mean you are ATG, get real you fangirls.
RJJ would beat Canelo really bad. let`s not forget that Canelo couldn`t hurt Lara, GGG, Mayweather, Cotto. RJJ would murder these guys, lol, they wouldn`t even dare to fight him.
watch the enrico kolling fight and get back to me. Because i know you never seen it. You just pretend to know boxing because you played fight night that one time on PlayStation 3.
Beterbiev is very vulnerable and canelo will run through beterbiev. Im taking all bets on that particular fight.

I rate him just below Roy Jones, but I can see him ending up above all of them once his career and accomplishments are added up.
Roy Jones
Canelo
Hopkins
Calzaghe
Ward
Anybody referring to fights at 160 or 175 didn't understand the assignment. Canelo beat a load of undefeated title-holders but none of them had a real name in the division historically (Smith was gifted Ring belt basically). He gets props for unifying all the belts however and rightly so, he chased the smoke.
Roy - best ever at 168
Calzaghe - greatest legacy at 168
Roy over Toney - best win at 168
Calzaghe - most longevity, first to win all 4 belts (not simultaneously, though)
In terms of fighters who have developed HOF worthy careers in the 168 division in recent years; Calzaghe, Ward, Kessler, Froch. The list is very short. Canelo has won all the belts but the others put in more work in the division, though Canelo wasn't a career 168er. Fighters like RJJ and Toney would beat most fighters ever to compete in and around the division though.
This guy knows boxing
'canelo would destroy calzaghe ':lol1: what planet are u on
Calzaghe was getting dropped by 60 year old men. What you think canelo power would do to him. Smith brothers, Matthew hatton, saunders, fielding, rhodes. Canelo feasts on uk fighters
Wrong!!!
Go look at Jones 168 resume it’s full of nobodies and he went on to be exposed as chinny.
Ward is horribly overrated guy was dirty not very skillful and an ignorant ****.
Toney lol he gets squashed by canelo.
Canelo stops Roy late in the fight even Roy admitted canelo would be a tough fight for him.
Canelo makes Ward do the stanky leg ward got wobbled by a Kova jab he was chinny as hell.
Canelo beats Toney by UD Toney to undisciplined for Canelo.
Canelo beats CalZ by UD who was crafty enough to survive.
Canelo
Roy
Calz
Toney
ward
With that said I respect Jones Toney and CalZ all great fighters despite iffy resumes but Ward I don’t respect he was a horrible fighter dirty and a ****tt.
Is roy win over toney better than anybody on canelo resume? Yes or no.
Is froch more accomplished than anybody on canelo 168 resume? Yes or no
Yall like to deflect facts.
Roy beat toney. Canelo beat plant.
Ward beat froch. Canelo beat saunders
Cut it out. Ward and roy resume with those wins alone trump any win canelo has at 168.
We can debate who would win fantasy fights. But we cant debate facts.
Plant, billy joe, yldrim, fielding, smith aren't better than froch, kessler, abraham, dawson. Thats facts.

"Calzaghe greatest legacy at 168"
{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","title":"Ray-liotta.gif","data-attachmentid":31176882}
canelo already surpassed Calslappys legacy at 168
(his only claim to fame at 168 was getting 3 belts off a string of nobodies ffs,BjS,Smith,& Plant with 2/3 by ko in 11 mos is a far greater legacy than beating Kessler & Lacy by boring decision like most his fights)
i rank them
Roy
ward
Toney
Canelo
Calzaghe
Canelo only beats calzaghe imo. And hopkins never fought at 168. Hopkins beats canelo at 160. Canelo beats Hopkins at 175
I'd say hopkins beats canelo more so at 175...canelo would really struggle to find his range and Hopkins was extremely patient and hard to read ..
Hopkins would have quite easily smothered canelos work with him being so small

Only him and Bhop were undisputed he’s Greater than all of them, and he’s still only 31 by the time he’s done he would have left no doubt that he’s the greatest smw of all time.
Calzaghe and Ward fall well behind. Ward was severely overrated his best win was a robbery and a guy who a much smaller canelo stopped Clean unlike ward. Ward resume is very sketchy and only maybe Kovalev will be in the HOf. Calzaghe has the two Roy and Bhop wins but as we all know those guys were completely done at the top level.
Canelo doesn't really have the resume to be the greatest ever super middleweight but if he is still undisputed at the weight in 5 years he may have the longevity for a greatness argument (like Bhop at MW for example).
What's curious to me is this earth shattering power that he has developed in the last few years against MUCH bigger opponents. When he faced off against an old, faded Cotto who was smaller than Canelo, the Mexican barely hurt him. When he faced GGG, especially the first fight, GGG nonchalantly walked through everything....heck going back further, Canelo couldn't even dent a 40 year old Mosley.
Now he is sparking out guys who are far taller and naturally bigger. I've never, in 20+ years of watching boxing seen a guy develop power like this before.
- -What grade U in? Been playing hooky?
Beter #1 Ring and hugely bigger and stronger on fight night with power that cannot be denied and well schooled with long time contender John Scully as one of his trainers. Canelo has to come to an agreement to fight him and Eddie say's "Yeah, we're looking at Beter.

Canelo will destroy beterbiev. Beterbiev aint what yall think he is. Canelo is gonna turn him into a punching bag
