Stephen Espinoza was already preparing to make this fight supposedly last months of this year.
Meaning, if the Showtime boss had no opposition to it, why should you have?

Is Charlo ducking this fight? What are your predictions on Team Charlo's next move?
That is if he decides to avoid Benavidez? The spotlight is brightly focused on him now.
Forget that silly angle you're blabbering here.
I had negative threads on that GGG fella. I never like the guy.
I'd contribute something creative if I were you.
Oh ok. Then I’m wrong about why you created the thread. It’s just the usual anti pbc stuff.
No one opposes this fight.
This seems like another thread where the TS gets mad that charlo is doing the same thing ggg is doing- waiting for Canelo and if he doesn’t get him fight someone easy to look good so Canelo will choose him.

]Is this the time when weight divisions don't matter? Why would Charlo give up 8 pounds to Benavidez? Can Benavidez make 160 for Charlo's belt? What does Benavidez bring to the table at 168? He doesn't even have one of these dime a dozen belts. Canelo-Benavidez should be next. They fight in the same division. Not gonna happen.
Canelo said a long time ago that he wouldn't fight his Mexican bros. That's the same thing with Davis-Haney. Unless there's absolutely nothing else, they won't fight each other for a long while.
Of course weight divisions matter. 160-168 is far different than that of a 112-116lb move. I dont blame Charlos management if they steer him clear of Benavidez because as you pointed out, David has nothing to offer.
Personally I think Canelos going to settle at 175 after all is said and done. I think itd be smart of David to move up, earn a shot at a title, and if he wins hope the time is right and he gets the Canelo call.
Why would charlo drop his belt and move up to fight a guy that can barely make 168? Why doesn't benavidez do what he is expecting charlo to do and move up himself? It makes sense that charlo will only move up for canelo, benavidez doesn't offer 10% of what canelo offers so of course charlo will play by canelo rules. Charlo has already moved up and challenged himself, u can't say the same for the cokehead
A man that has a legit win over Andre Ward doesn't need to work his way jnto contention to fight any man.
BJS debateable. He had a very long undefeated streak at the weight and there was no one else for Canelo to fight. You coukd say the same for Andrade too I giess
He doesn't have a legit win over Ward. Provide the Boxrec link to support the claim.
It's not Canelo's job to fight every contender around his weight class. At some point, these guys need to mix it up with each other and create some buzz of their own.
Not as long as the Canelo jackpot is hanging around.
I love how Canelo fans think he is going to fight the winner of that fight. He's going to duck, it's what he does. It'll be some new excuse "uh erm I got to fight my mandatory. I need a tuneup. I sent an offer, but he never called me back"
When he beats their asses you’re going to call them bums or unimpressive wins.
