Should Canelo drop his titles ?

Depends He’s won them all now, if they’re going to give him rubbish mandatories like Zach Parker, then I see no problem dropping belts in favour of bigger fights.

If he will be ordered to fight mandatories, than yes. Canelo proved his point, he unified the division. Nobody gives a shi.t about him fighting Zach Parker, lol. He should stay at 168, maybe drop 1 belt or two belts and fight Benavidez or Charlo. Or move up to 175.

As the cash cow of the sport he has the clout to keep these alphabet orgs from not messing with him and working with him if he wants to keep them. They know they’ll make more from a sanctioning fee from Canelo then any other fighter even if they have to wait. The WBC tried to pull some slick shit with Canelo and he sonned them and they came crawling back and bent the knee. If he needs to drop one to make his fights he will though. He’s undisputed already so he achieved his goal.

Plant had a belt though. and dervy didnt, it goes to show you they can take advantage of the situation regardless without deserving...

Absolutely. This isn't the 1980s; maintains undisputed is not practical for a champion in the modern era, let one a massive star like Canelo. He's not going to be able to hold all four belts and still give the fans the biggest/best fights. No one is trying to see Canelo fight Evgeny Shvedenko at this point. Canelo is a star in the eyes of the people. Getting all four was the history book accomplishment. He doesnt need to keep them to stay the champ.

As the face of boxing, he can pick virtually any fight that he wants. He can offer step-aside money to the so-called stupid mandatories and challenge himself against truly dangerous fighters.
