Will Jermall Charlo fight someone better than Juan Macias Montiel?
How about Bivol, will he fight Zurdo at least? Or is he going to give the fans that thrilling John Ryder showdown instead?
Can Demetrius Andrade get in the ring with someone better than Jason Quigley?
The only one I see in an interesting fight is Beterbiev against Marcus Browne.
Canelo fans are shameless. We know you're hoping all these guys take each other out so Canelo can justify not fighting them.
Let’s say Canelo beat three top-10 (at worst) guys at 168 to become undisputed (Smith, Saunders, Plant). Is it wrong to expect Charlo and Benavides to beat at least one top-10 guy? It’s not about taking each other out. It’s about building a legitimate buzz. You can sell the Charlo-Benavides winner as a bona fide B-side for a PPV.
The classic "But what about that other guy!" defense.
I would love to see Canelo face Charlo, Benavides and Andrade. He can only fight one of them at a time though so why can’t we see Charlo-Benavides in the meantime? Or Charlo-Andrade? Is that so unreasonable? And if so, which one of those guys is more deserving than the others?
I've been saying that Beterbiev and Bivol should fight each other and unify.
Then after that, unified 175 lb champ vs unified 168 lb champ becomes a juicier fight to sell to the masses.
Blame Eddie Hearn for this BS. He’s saying that if Bivol can beat John Ryder (wtf?) he’ll put him against Butsai (WTF??)
why any non Brit would sign with Matchroom at this point is retarded.
Charlo vs Benavidez needs to happen next.
Winner gets Canelo. No point in waiting until May.
It's ridiculous. Fans' faith in this sport needs to be restored.
Agreed, they could fight in late January, early February, winner gets Canelo in May. There's no reason for that not to happen.
According to Canelo's people. A guy who got popped for roids then lied about it is so trustworthy. That's called damage control. That's called saving face. What we know for a fact happened is that Canelo, the guy who suddenly cares all about the belts, vacated and pooped his pants when Charlo was his mandatory.
When was Canelo Charlo's mandatory? 5 1/2 years ago? You still going to be crying about 5 1/2 years ago? What challenges has Charla taken in those 5.5 years? Who are these killers he's been facing since getting his belt via e-mail? When's his next fight? When is he going to unify? When is he going to take Benavidez's challenge?
Benavidez should win this weekend. Plenty of time to make a fight between him and Charlo before May.
Canelo's resume sh|ts on Charlo's. :lol1:
Like, it takes an absolute dump on it.
But you expect Canelo to do even more while Charlo just skates by looking mediocre against the Montiels of the world.
Talk to 'em!!!!!!!!
Well Andrade is the only one who was ever signed to fight even one of those guys (Saunders)
But I guess Charlo and Benavides’ recent opponents have been killers by comparison…
The classic "But what about that other guy!" defense.
Sad thing is, they ALL got the news that Canelo will be back in May, so guess what? TBD it is!
:lol1:
No need for the apple cart to get upset and ruin a potentially big payday. These dudes stay playing it safe.
Callum Smith, BJS and Plant, now that is some risky sh/t. :boxing:

You stupid bastard Charlo wanted 20 million for the Canelo fight AND a catchweight.

Canelo gonna hold up the whole division untill May... if he says he is moving to LHW he will hold up that division as well.
Nobody will take a risk mark my words.
But it's not Canelo holding up these divisions.
It's the nutless wonders who won't take a risk to prove their greatness. Just because they hope he might come calling.
They are sellouts chasing money instead of legacy.
Charlo did win the Canelo "sweepstakes", but Canelo vacated. Funny how you keep forgetting about that. Lets be real, y'all ain't got faith in Canelo. He can't beat Biev or Bivol. He doesn't want Charlo or Andrade. He's going to come back in May and fight some weak ass tune up on short notice. That's how Canelo rolls. He isn't interested in fighting the best and his fans aren't interested in seeing him fight the best.

Is Charlo just going to wait and hope he gets to have the Canelo chore?
(Chore because we all know he's just being forced into this fight.)
His last fight with Montiel was last June 19. (July, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec. Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr...)
Man, that's a lot of waiting. He could at least fight 1 more fight, yet he prefers to sit around and do nothing.
Unfortunately not, as good as canelo is and his quick path to the unification of the titles was excellent. Its not great for the division as a fan when a cash cow enters the weightclass. Everyone is scared of picking up a loss and missing that payday.
What risk did Callum Smith, Saunders and Plant take to get Canelo fight?
Anybody that suggests that unbeaten champs should take a big risk before fighting Canelo, would be a very bad advisor.
They took the low offers and arent overpricing themselves i guess.

Charla turned down the fight, his brother confirmed it.
Charla needs to fight Benavidez first at 168 to prove he belongs at that weight class. He hasn't done a damn thing in his entire career. His last fight he went 12 rounds with a guy that Munguia KO'd in 2 rounds.
And what has Andrade done exactly? Like I asked you before, how are Charla and Andrade better than Smith, Saunders and Plant? List their accomplishments and resumes.
He isn't interested in fighting the best and his fans aren't interested in seeing him fight the best.
Looking at your quote again, answer this then, Is Charlo fighting the best? Canelo has been above 160 for a while now, you claimed Canelo turned him down when he vacated the WBC belt in May 18 2016, which is 5 years, 5 months, 21 days, or 2000 days to be exact. So for those 2000 days, has Charlo been fighting the best? What has he been doing for those 2000 days? What belts has he unified in those 2000 days? Are YOU interested in seeing him fight the best?
