Canelo is the best boxer in mexican history.

hes the most skilled and most technical. yeah its blasphemy to a lot of mexicans to say anyone is better than JCC but they like him for his warrior mindset and the battles he was in, but canelo at this point is obviously more skilled and has ran through many weight classes, he should be ranked higher in historical p4p lists.

Chavez Sr. himself even acknowledged Canelo as the GOAT Mexican fighter.

RJJ was rated the best P4P boxer that ever lived when he was in his prime, but then started to get his block knocked off by inferior competition Not saying this will happen to Canelo, but we have seen crazier things happen in this sport lol But with his current trajectory, yeah, he will pass Chavez for sure though

Not many will agree with you but he is. P4P he is the best Mexican fighter in history. Julio Cesar Chavez is a legend, but Canelo is technically better. The guy is like 5’7” and beating up 6 foot and above fighters, and fighters naturally bigger than him. Man, he has things of Floyd and Chavez... Pure boxing skills... awesome style.

Only Sanchez was better skillwise than him. But he is better than Chavez, better defense, ring IQ, left hook... creativity..
