Just because he was happy to get up close with Wilder doesn't mean Fury will do that against Whyte. He almost certainly won't. I expect he'll try to do a similar job to what he did to Chisora - slowly best him up from range and clinch if they get too close.
Whyte will be wanting the fight up close. His challenge will be getting inside the jab and moving well enough to close Fury down without Fury locking him up.
Whyte will give it a good go. Fury will rightly be a huge betting favourite but getting the win is different from being the better fighter.
Fury and Whyte have both had some bad performances in their careers.
The difference is that Fury has improved a lot since the Cunningham fight, while Whyte still looks just as vulnerable.
Getting knocked down by Rivas, knocked down by Parker, knocked out by 40-year-old Povetkin happened all in his last six fights.
Fury is 10000x better than Parker and Wach
Also Whyte didn’t destroy Wach. It was an awful performance where he got a points win and got buzzed a few times.
He was also nearly stopped by Parker..
10000x better than parker? The guys been flattened by cunningham and pavjik of all people ...I'd struggle to imagine parker going down like a hot sack of potatoes against either man
Fury is all hype from beating a shot wladimir and beating wilder an absolute tomato can of a champion
Did you see Fury with wallin?
Do I see parker beating wallin better than Fury could? Yes
Do I see dillian shyte beating wallin to a pulp? Yes
Watch Fury’s second fight with Chisora. Fury is relaxed and in absolutely no danger whatsoever. That is what I would expect. The only chance Whyte would have is if Fury got too relaxed.
Whyte not comfortable losing like chisora has been in fights...he will be trying his best to out some hurt on fury and he will go to the body...
Whyte also has a good jab that will cause fury problems ...whyte will struggle finding the right hand early on but if he sticks to the jab and goes exclusively for the body he's in with a shot at the upset
HeII no it's not a 50/50 fight. But this fight needs to happen and it's great for entertainment value. It reminds me of when Floyd picked Maidana over Khan. On paper Whyte deserves a title shot more than anyone but he's very mediocre in every department. I've been wanting to see how people here in America will react to Fury going up against a fellow Brit and decent trash talker. Even LDBC have been putting their delegates behind Whyte.
would Joyce-Fury be a closer fight?
Joe Joyce has a killer jab
most definitely. I don’t think Joe can be knocked out, with head shots anyway. It seems like it would take multiple flush right hands to hurt him.
Fury wins but I'm looking more forward to the press conferences. Whyte is a much more mentally stronger guy and he'll give Fury a taste of his own medicine.
Fury stops Whyte Mid to Late Rounds as Whyte typically Slows down, gets tired and start throwing Wild Hooks the longer the fight goes. Fury is going to lean on Whyte and drain his legs
didn't Whyte destroy and completely outbox Parker and Wach though....Wach is like Fury's size
No, he didn't outbox Parker. He won a controversial decision after he was awarded a knockdown on a clear headbutt, and was out on his feet at the final bell.
Wach is 500 years old.

Fury will give him a sustained beating until it gets stopped.
Whyte does nothing better than Fury and he he has some of the worst balance I’ve ever seen.
He has a lesser KO% than Fury too before anyone talks about him being a bigger puncher. Even if he was, Wilder is a far bigger puncher and now knows it takes more than that, so Whyte’s supposed power isn’t going to get him out of trouble.
Fury is better in every single department and will show he’s levels above Whyte.
