He is a good boxer, obviously. But a Master Cherrypicker as well. Good combination to have.
Good boxer + Master cherrypicker = Very dominant-looking wins.
He knows how to pick his opponents for sure.
I disagree. I think Crawford’s overall level of competition in terms of quality talented/skilled opponents are mediocre in comparison to the likes of the Mayweather-Pacquiao era. I definitely think Ugas, and Thurman could’ve given Crawford some good work even though I think he would’ve won those fights.
Nowhere near. He is complete fighter who can fight outside, middle range and inside. But not a master at any of them. He likes to pressure better boxers than him. He gets outboxed if he tries to box every fight. He got outboxed by Brook, Porter and Gamboa.
I don’t know about that one. He’s had his moments in spurts on the inside, but he’s not really good or consistent at it. He likes to push off or hold when he’s pressured on the inside.
He’s a very good boxer but not a MASTER
MASTER boxers are Floyd Pernell Willie Pep Benny Leonard
In terms of boxing level Terence is around manny’s league but versatile
In regards to Benny Leonard, I don’t understand how you guys can judge a fighter based on grainy, black and white highlight videos and just certain “rounds” or 1 or 2 full fights. When I see all the footage I can see of Benny Leonard, I see nothing special. Also in his career, from 1910s to 1930s or so, there was the same competition over and over again: White men. All I see is a bunch of dudes who fight exactly like Ben Askren. It’s like Ben Askren vs Ben Askren, with an occasional Jake Paul thrown in there, who crushes the Ben Askren’s of that time.
I understand that giving props to the pioneers of American boxing, back when it was mostly White men, shows a fan in good light. But man, if you don’t actually know a guy’s career, or you have not watched the majority of his fight…it’s okay to just say you don’t know. It’s okay to not mention them or give them any props.
A big issue with some people is that they are ashamed of not knowing, so they follow. Like man, I don’t know how good Benny Leonard was, I can’t tell from limited footage, and I can’t tell from biased journalism, and I can’t tell without their being ample, diverse competition like now. Benny Leonard never had to cross paths with a Armstrong, Duran, Whitaker, Mayweather, Pacquiao, SRL, Lomachenko, etc. Idk how he could be placed as a top 10 when his competition were all mostly white men.
It’s like naming Jerry West as better than Magic Johnson (no one in their right mind would do this) because West has like almost 10k points on Magic. Not taking into account that Magic Johnson’s Lakers had to face much stiffer, diverse opposition. West’s opponents were mostly other White men. In boxing, opposition doesn’t matter. Does he have 100-200 fights, limited footage and came from an era of mostly White boxers? Okay, he is a top 10 boxer of all time. His fellow White journalists, reporters, and historians say so. Must be true.
He is a good boxer, obviously. But a Master Cherrypicker as well. Good combination to have.

I can’t say he’s a master boxer
I say he’s a very good and talented boxer
Imo , if he fights Spence , he can show all his attributes and maybe then can be considered a master boxer
I am no fan of Spence but he is damn good but I do believe Bud would beat him and silence the critics
Jhonny wants Salvador Sanchez to be declared a great Mexican champ
Or he’s gonnna find a new home
Jhonny loves boxing
he’s a big Crawford’ fan.
he watches boxing everyday
Yeah he is. Thats why I wanna see him and Spence to stop playing around and fight each other.
Get these two master boxer cowards in the ring!
These guys wont fight each other for MILLIONS, i'll fight both on the same night and get KO'd twice for ONE million. Coward boxers at it once again. Divas. Pu$$ies
He’s a very good boxer but not a MASTER

Stop hatin'. He's a master boxer.
Hopefully he gets the best guys in the ring before they are shopworn unlike your boy Floyd
'TBC' does it all.
Now, one notable trait that most fans have recognized from Terence is his ability to effectively switch from orthodox to southpaw, but what goes unnoticed his how 'Bud' is a great body-puncher ; Crawford, unlike many 'slick' boxers steps into range and stands his ground as he anticipates his opponents hands ( left or right ) whilst he rolls with the attack to mitigate the force of the blow and counters with sharp-whipping hooks to the body -- that is taking a big risk, yet time and time again Terence wins the exchanges.
Its important to note that Crawford long arms are not suitable to execute these techniques in the inside, yet 'Bud' is able to fight like a small fighter. This ability is very rare, most trainers would argue that Terence should take advantage of his natural gifts and fight tall from long range, but we see Crawford beating the smaller opponents in their own style.
'Buds' timing, poise, and variant methods of attack is incredible, he can hurt you with both hands: with a jab, a straight-cross, left-right-hook, overhand, uppercut, bolo, jab to the body, hooks and uppers to the abdomen, ribs and organs. TBC has mastered every offense in the book of prize-fighting, most boxers, even the elite ; have one of two punches that they rely on and not even perfected them.
Below is what's going to happen to Shawn Porter, when Porter tries to press Crawford in the inside.

How many master boxers get their eye swollen shut by the empty shell of Kell Brook? Let us see how he does against someone good.
The bold: Do you consider Porter "someone good"?
Carpe Diem nitpicks Terence abilities once per month
what’s really going on
I’m just trying to figure him out as a boxer. He shows signs of being great in most of his fight, but I’m still not fully convinced he’s a “once in a lifetime” type of boxer.
I think Porter will push him
Major statement if Terence breaks Porter down and tames him
the Porter has yet to be tamed
Kell didnt
Keith didnt
Errol didnt
This fight might retire Porter as a boxer. His dirty tactics are a cover for lack of skills. I had even Ugas beating him in a close fight. Bud is a level above all the guys you mentioned.
