Some people seem to be suggesting Whyte isn't worthy of challenging Fury even though he avenged his loss?
Interested to hear who you would like to fight next Fury instead?
For the purposes of this, we'll assume Usyk and AJ are off the table as they are fighting each other next.
Edit-tbh I did struggle to think of anyone after Whyte and Joyce that I was interested in.
I'll go, in order:
1) Whyte (for me the obvious best fight next)
2) Joyce (really intriguing fight against someone who doesn't stop coming, but VERY green, so will be dismantled as a good win later)
Struggling now...
3) Ruiz (should be straightforward at this point, but a good fight for Fury to come back to and for marketing purposes)
4) Hunter??? I mean not exactly worthy if Whyte isn't, but his speed will prove a real challenge)
5) Parker(?) Can't happen as they are friends,
but who else?
Edit- Some people seem to have very strong emotions towards Whyte and Matchroom, please just pick your top opponents!
You may rate Fury so highly that you don't think anyone can beat him, but you want to see him fight right?
Who?
OK I get it! Well in that case:
Usyk
AJ
Whyte
Joyce
Ruiz
Sounds about right
Considering AJ and Usyk are out.
In order:
Joyce
Yoka
White
Sanchez
Dychko
Honorable mention to Hrgovic and Jalolov
Ruiz, Parker, Hunter have very little chance, due to styles.
1. AJ
2. Whyte
3. Joyce
4. Dubois
5. Usyk
Usyk is last one the list cause he is so short and small compared to Fury.
Out of the list there I believe only AJ has a chance of beating Fury, the rest not a chance.
Yeah, this is actually easy:
Whyte
Joyce
Hrgovic
Helenius
Gassiev
If Parker weren't already scheduled to fight Chisora, I'd have him on there.
Honorable Mention: Hunter
Mahkmudov hasn’t even fought outside Canada yet which honestly is known to be a very weak surroundings in boxing . Isn’t it the other way around for a highly touted Hrgovic already proven in the amateur and one step closer to the IBF belt holder ? :lol1:
The forum continues to reward guys for doing less I really don’t get it ,Hrgovic has literally chased an entire rankings ,Mahkmudov is tough but has not even make himself known yet .
Hrgovic has only beaten some old dudes like Molina and Mansour. he should fights somebody like Makhmudov to prove he is a contender.
1. Hrgovic
2. Whyte
3 . Joyce
4. Wallin
5. Sanchez
this is a realistic list of who’s available and present the most danger to Fury . All would be great fights
How about Hrgovic fighting somebody on his level first? Like Makhmudov?
Hunter was gifted a draw against Povetkin ,the same guy that guys ridiculed Whyte for losing then knocking him out in the rematch ? :lol1:
Those who say Whyte doesn’t bring much for Fury will try and have you fooled but realistically like my list shows he’s at least the number 2 guy to give Fury more problems .
Hunter beat Povetkin and even so, a draw is a better result than getting KTFO.
I disagree with him being lower top 10, he has beaten better people than almost everyone in that top 10, but I respect your opinion, particularly your thoughts on it stylistically. You may not be wrong there, but I do want to find out
Again rankings are subjective, I have him around 8th but I know a lot of people tend to have him around 5th.
5? Heavyweight Division not deep enough to come up with a good top 5 who even have a chance at beating or challenging Fury

Who?
My main issue with Whyte in terms of him deserving the fight is he’s rejected two eliminators and a direct title shot in the past, and now he’s blatantly ducked Wallin IMO.
However, you essentially deserve what you can negotiate in boxing and he’s played the system and ended up as mandatory. He’s not necessarily a bad opponent for Fury, he’s a lower end top 10 guy so it’s not like he’s a “bum of the month” type title defence, but just looking at it from a stylistic perspective I don’t see him giving any problems for Fury.
Put it this way, if Fury vs Whyte happens, I’d still watch it.

Fair enough, appreciate the reply.
I suppose another question could open up a can of worms, but do you think they are more deserving, or just who you want to fight Fury next?

Just think they pose more problems stylistically. Hunter is far better than Whyte IMO. I’m an amateur buff too so Gold Medals hold value to me, I like the idea of Fury going out vs the current Olympic Champion like Ali vs Spinks.
I just don’t see Whyte giving Fury any problems, he’s slower, less skilled, less athletic, worse technically, doesn’t even have a punchers chance; he just has nothing for Fury. At least Hunter has the speed and athleticism to potentially give him problems like Cunningham did years ago.

Why would you rather Hunter/Yoka than Whyte? Boxing reasons or personal?

Fury shouldn’t be ducking his mandatory
Cool, I agree, but we're asking for your top 5 options. If you think it's just Whyte, say that and leave it there.
Fury fans are still shook Whyte would chin their overrated hero. :lol1:
Let the coward drop the belt and go dig another painter from Iceland
We don't have to turn every thread into this.
