So watching Fury develop I had a disdain for him, there was no passion and his fundamentals were wrong. We all know when he punched himself in the face, and that fight with Steve Cunningham, i thought it was over for him. Clean punch, on the ground If he fought somebody better that's the ticket. But I was dead wrong.
I will say this , to not have weight classes above a a certain poiint and just claim them as heavyweight is egregious.
but the spirit, the fight, the tenacity that fury showed in 2 and 3 gave me hope, hope for boxing. fury is masterclass and will never be forgotten for his boldness, thank you tyson
but i did want to see the fver lose after he punched himself in the face,
It's hard to even put thought into this thread. Heavyweight is an unlimited weight class and to complain Fury was " 5 weight classes " above Wilder takes away from they left in the ring in the 3rd fight. Why fans cant appreciate what we saw in the fight I'll never know. It wasnt the prettiest fight but the spirit they poured out was a sight to see. So appreciate as fans what it took for 2 big men to leave it all in the ring.
It always amazes me how people couldn’t see Fury’s skill early on. I think they watched a few gif’s of him punching himself in the face and went with it. Wlad punched himself in the face v Jennings.
Fury was a very good amateur as a junior and had the likes of Manny Steward singing his praises since Fury was about 21 years old, about his skill and coordination.
It was pretty evident even early on he was more than just some big man, he showed flashes of real skill. I mean even in the middle part of his career he was stopping Chisora while fighting completely left-handed in a total one sided beat down. An old version of Chisora is still giving the likes of Usyk hard fights.
It just goes to show how a lot of people don’t actually know much about boxing until it’s right in their face
if you watched tyson hes= been tit for tat with amaiteurs. Let;s see what were the weights for tyson wilder? who governs that, why is that legal. ok. they don't do that in any other wieight class of course wilder was beaten , he was fighing a man 5 weight classes above him
