I think he should go with Eddie Reynoso (Canelo's trainer). He needs to learn to fight the Mexican way... inner fire... on the front foot. Rekindling that fire. He also needs to reduce the number of people in his 'inner circle'. I think there are too many consenting voices. BTW. No disrespect to Rob McCracken who is still an absolute world-class trainer, but he isn't what AJ needs right now. He needs the mexican/more pugilistic mentality. Secondly, he needs someone who is going to get him focused purely on boxing and not all the other bullshit. I liked his recent interview with Kugs in Watford. If he gets Eddie Reynoso, he has a genuine chance of beating Usyk.
Teddy Atlas still coach? If so, I have a feeling he would of woken AJ up in the last fight. I think AJ needs someone who can stand up to him and tell him what to do. Question is, who is not going to be mesmerized by AJ? Maybe Reynoso? Definitely not Sanchez as he would probably shorten AJ's career and have him take on too much punishment and the damage is accumulating on AJ. Buddy McGirt could be interesting but AJ is already technically sound.
