Much respect Tim! Mr. Witherspoon, what are your thoughts on Romanian boxer Mircea Simon? He beat Trevor berbick to win the silver medal at the Montreal Olympics in 1976 heavyweight division. Most people in my hometown call him a brawler just "one two now swing swing swing!!!". But is there any truth that he did posses boxing skills? Somehow my mind is telling me that he's forgotten more about boxing than I've ever known, as he is after all getting up in age. Peace t.w.!

How did you have the confidence to turn pro after just six amateur bouts? How were you able to get to such a high level without that background? To piggyback on this, how were you able to push Holmes the way you did with such little experience? Did any of his past fights give you confidence you could beat him?
